Sunny Saturday....

Well, it's a quiet Saturday morning....7 am and everyone is sleeping....except for the mil, and my youngest dd and, of course, me. I know, I know....I can finally sleep in, and I'm here, on my journal. Well, I had no use of the computer last night, as my teen and her giggly friend were on until 11....

Percy (my golden) has been epileptic since he was 3 years old. He is such a good dog, and it makes me feel really bad when it happens to him. He has grand mal seizures, just like a human, and is taking Phenobarbitol. He is down to about one seizure every 3 months, and he usually shows warning signs. He will get really jumpy and hide in the closet. The vet says he know's it's going to happen....like a premonition. After he has his seizure, he just looks at me like, "WTF was that?!" Then he hobbles around for a minute....and bounds off like a puppy again. Very strange. Anyhow, thanks to all who were concerned....he's fine. I chose the animation because I'm sure that is how he will feel this morning. "I'm the one who is sick....and they leave me home to go to the beach!"

So, in a few hours, we will be heading out to the surf and sun. It is supposed to be windy today, so the surf should be high. I love seeing the waves come crashing in. Dd is only allowed to go out to her knees....so I don't worry too much. And of course, the oldest and her friend "don't like the beach". Well gee, sorry I am spending the day taking you to one of God's finest creations! *Sigh, I can't win!

Have a wonderful Saturday everyone!

"Nothing starts your day like a hot, hearty bowl of plain oatmeal with prison issued silverwear....it's a good thing."

Okay, I love the quotes you leave us with now, so keep them coming!!! Thanks for explaining about your doggie, poor baby!! I have golden/husky mix dogs and they have sensitive stomachs, but I didn't know about the seizure problems. Guess it's good that I have mutts and not purebreds, huh? Hope you have fun in the sun and sand!!!
Hugs and love, Lisa

Awww, Poor Percy. I feel so bad for the poor baby.
Have fun at the beach! Getting out there in the sun and sea air will get you feeling all better quick. What's up with the older kids? My daughter and her friends don't like the beach either. How can anyone NOT like the beach?!!

WTF??? Teenage girls that don't like the beach??? Just goes to show you how the east coast girls are stranger than the west coast girls. Over on this side of the states, that's where all the girls are! Maybe if they see some boys they will change their attitude hahaha then you won't be able to get them off the beach! Hugs Lanny
PS: Give your poor puppy a big hug from me.
