I swear, this is the last one....

I am getting bored of talking about my auction happenings, but I wanted to update on the situation....

The guy from Georgia who begged us to sell him the car first, came today....and left without the car. The %#$*! screwed us out of the deposit money. Then he offered a ridiculously low amount, which my dh refused. I have to say, it's lucky I wasn't there....because I would have really let the guy have it. Ironically, I was at Bible study, and we were talking about how some people live their lives in "solitude" and don't reach out to others. I had just mentioned that this is how I am, and it is an area in my life that I need to work on. Along with trusting people. Then my phone rang and I excused myself and went into the foyer. When dh told me what happened, I let out a string of curse words that would have shocked a sailor....thank goodness they didn't hear me. I had to remind myself where I was, and calm down. I didn't hear the rest of the study, as I was having an internal discussion with myself....

"That a*& hole!"
"Now, Sherry, remember where you are."
"Okay, but he screwed us!"
"But wouldn't the Lord say to forgive?"
"Yes, but the Lord didn't lose a sure buyer to a scam artist!"   "Now, that is not quite Christian of you, is it?"
"No, I suppose it isn't...but..."
"But nothing, let it go."
"*Sigh....okay....(mutter...jerk)"
"What was that?"
"Nothing."

So, on the upside, the original buyer called, and wants the car. He will be here tomorrow. He is 63 and on the downside of life (his words), and collects 57 Fords. He has seven of them and said he doesn't care what it is....he just wants it. Yippee! I told dh to give it to him for the reserve price, since things got messed up. And that.....is the rest of the story.

Today I got my hair highlighted, and asked for a "heavier" job. Well, I got what I asked for....and I look somewhat like a blonde now. I really do like it, and so does hubby. I haven't decided if it makes me look older or younger. My youngest didn't like it (but she doesn't like change), and my oldest said, "Oh, yeah. Looks nice." Well, gee. Don't get so emotional about it....*enter sarcasm here.

Well, it's after 8 and I need to get the wee one in bed, and settle in for a 3 hour block of "Law & Order, SVU"....dun dun....

I would have been cursing that guy out too. You are so sweet and caring and loving and you have always reached out to me so I don't know what your talking about. I'm thrilled that man is picking upthe car. Obviously God didn't think your outburst was abnormal and came through for you to help calm you and ease you. I bet your hair looks beautiful. With that beautiful face it wouldn't matter anything would look good. Kids are like that...they don't mean it. they know you are gorgeous!
