Well, I'm feeling better now. My kitchen is positively pine-scent fresh ::sparkle, sparkle::, my ironing is done, and I am just enjoying a quiet moment at the computer. It's a gorgeous day outside. I've got the sliding doors open to the Florida room, and my Hawiian Breeze candle is burning. (To all you candle fans out there....it's made by Glade and it is spectacular!) Spring is definately here....with summer on it's heels.
Tonight I've got a teriyaki turkey loin in the oven, and I think we will go with mashed potatoes and fresh green beans. I don't usually cook on Friday's, but I don't feel like a heavy take-out dinner tonight. I am hoping to talk dh into a trip to Borders, to peruse the latest in literature.
This is the last "official" day of spring break for the girls. They have spent it cleaning their rooms, watching tv, and sitting in front of the computer. I know, I know....we are in Florida, why aren't we outside enjoying the sunshine? Heck, I don't know. I think, unfortunately, you begin to get used to it, and don't take advantage of it like you should. Tomorrow, however, there is a big art festival in San Marco, which my aunt is taking my youngest to. As for my oldest and I, well, I think we are going to clean out her closet. Not for fun, (well, maybe a little), but because I am redecorating her room and we need to get rid of the non-essentials. And before anyone admonishes me for cleaning closets on a weekend....it was her idea. Just call her Martha Jr.....

Well, you sound happier...I'm glad. Yuck--cooking on Fridays--I don't ever do that if I can avoid it. Already went to Borders today myself and got a new book. Have fun cleaning out your daughters room...I can only think of a million other things I'd rather do...lol
Call me weird, which you will, but, I love cleaning! Everything just seems so much ...I don't know, it feels fresh. I really hope we hit Borders..possibly Barnes and Nobles tho? I have a gift certificate I have never used and plus..no money or borders gifts cards. <BG>

Glad to hear you are feeling better. They say Laughter is the best medicine, but in your case it's cleaning. What book are you getting?
You're so cute. Ya know I can't relax if the house is messy either. Well at least the main rooms, i couldn't give a sh*t about the bedrooms. Both you and lanny will be cleaning bedrooms tomorrow....I think it's a waste of weekend but if it leads you closes to decorating that will be good. She's gonna love being in her room after she puts her personal mark on it. She's a very sweet kid! I'm proud of her and she isn't even my daughter. LOL Enjoy your night and have fun at the book store.
I'm so glad you wrote about cleaning! I've been so busy putting off cleaning lately that I completely forgot how theraputic it is especially when I'm angry! I'll jump right on it first thing tomorrow! Thanks! :-)
Glad your feeling better and the house is spic n span. The art festival sounds fun ... I remember going to some great ones in FL and CA ~ all that sunshine.
So, my dinner invitation must've gotten lost in cyber space ... what time was dinner? ;)

I think you need professional help with all the cleaning that you do! I am sure you have OCD or something. I have never read or heard of anyone cleaning as much as you do!!! Well, maybe Karie and Kara, but man, you guys would absolutely DIE if you came into my house! Cleaning out closets! And you mention that it's not for weekends. Hell, it's not for like EVER!! If you were pregnant I would say you were nesting, but that's not the case right? Hmmmm, well, I will chalk it up to just being obsessive. Hee-hee!
Clean hugs and love,
Lisa
