MIL visit.....

Today, I began my day taking the dog to the vet with my mother in law. We then took him home and went shopping. We hit a few of the decorating stores, etc. Then, when I suggested lunch, she said that she would be fine with leftovers from last night. Alrighty, fine with me. So, we came home and had lunch. I am feeling like crap today. My throat is hurting something terrible, and I'm achey and tired....so I decided to sit on the couch and cover up. However, mother in law decided to clean. I don't know why that irked me, but it did. I guess I feel guilty sitting there, while she is cleaning my house. She vaccumed the entire place, cleaned the bathroom, washed dishes....I know, I know....be happy she is doing this. I am....but it doesn't feel right. And I don't feel like I should be just sitting there while she does it. But I feel so bad today! She has already raked our entire yard for goodness sakes! She said that she can't stand to sit still. She recently sold her home with an acre sized yard, and bought a cottage home. I know, she used the yardwork to help with her grief over losingher husband. And I'm not complaining....it's just weird. I told Lisa I was getting to the point where I'm not picking up things at the store, because she keeps buying them for me. There is no telling this woman NO. LOL....

Anyhoo, that's my day. I am typing this while she is out on her walk, so she doesn't think I wasn't well enough to vacuum, but I am well enough to go online!  Join me in my mantra, won't you?  Three more days, three more days, three more days, three more days....

Three more days...Well I guess the thing I'm most surprised about is that there is ANYTHING at all to clean in your house. I picture it as spotless 24/7!!! Hope you're feeling better soon!!!

I will add your "Three more days" to my "Six more days, six more days"! Hee-hee! I know EXACTLY how you feel about someone else cleaning your home. You feel like a slob or something because they are cleaning up your messes. I think your MIL and my MIL would get along great though, don't you?! I hope you start feeling better, and sitting on the couch with a blankie is not a bad thing you know!!! Just take care of you!
Hugs and love, Lisa

I know what you mean about feeling bad for her doing things, but then again, I'd kind of like it. I think it's pry true that she likes to do it. Cleaning is different for some people, I really believe my MIL loves to clean. She's so good at it! LOL 3 more days, 3 more days... ~Melissa

LOL, well, I KNOW I won't be like you MIL!!! I HATE cleaning and do it only because it HAS to be done. I know BAD.
By the way, I can be more pathetic if it gets the cake recipe!

Hi Sherry! Sorry to hear you've been sick. That would have got under my skin too having someone else cleaning for me! It would drive me nuts! Your journal's looking good, love the new graphics :-) Oh and your neighbor is a total weirdo, stay away from him! LOL! Since I'm answering your entry from yesterday I can say "Only 2 more days to go!!!" Feel better soon!
