My apologies....

It seems I've stepped on a few toes....and I didn't mean to. I was not in any way putting down southerners for their relaxed attitude toward life. I'm only saying that if you can't be on time for something (whether in the north or the south)....don't be surprised when the bus pulls out without you. That being said, I'd like to post an open letter to one of my newest fans....*enter sarcasm HERE

You seem a little stressed.  Maybe Southerners have the right idea in not taking life so seriously.  Are you REALLY doing a count down to Christmas already???  Maybe you should take a tip from the flip-flop mentality of Floridians and chill just a bit.

 Whomever you are,

My point is, go ahead and be laid back, that's fine with me....but then don't complain when y'all are late, or your child misses the bus. If you are supposed to be at the bus stop at a certain time, be there. It's not the driver's fault if you are "not taking life so seriously".   And yes, I am doing a countdown for Christmas. Maybe I'll even do one to Groundhog's Day.   Oh, and although I'm sure you received your psychiatric license from a prestigious Ivy League school, I hope you won't mind if I don't take your advice to "chill" until I see your diploma.

*I wouldn't normally respond in this fashion, however the comment poster deleted their screen name after posting, which leads me to believe they were being rude on purpose. Imagine that!

I just love your sarcasm!!  I live in Texas and I was in NO WAY offended by what you said because unfortunately it is the truth.  Everyone here just pokes along like the world is just gonna wait for them to get where they are going.  I find that so annoying!

You go girl!!!!

Touche' Pussycat!
I just love those who leave comments then run with their tail between their legs. Leads me to believe it's probably one of your regular readers in disguise.

I used to be five minutes late for everything, but since then I've had way too many professors from the south....lol

Geez Louise!  I didn't think anything you wrote was derogatory or "stepping on toes"!  It is a commonly known fact that Southerners move at a totally different pace then us "Northerners".  Does it make them better then us or us better then them?  NOPE!  It is just our way and their way of approaching life.  Honey, I have been to Florida and South Carolina and I could NOT believe how long it took me to get my order in a fast food restaurant!  No one else even blinked an eye, so I guess it was common.  Oooops, sorry, did I step on someone's toes too?  LOL!
Hugs and love, Lisa

It takes all kinds...right? LOL! I think the person who wrote that needs to chill!

Well said. Maybe it was PC Mom that left the comment. LOL. Keep the countdown to Christmas going, it is keeping me motivated to buy a few things each week until I get all my shopping done.

Hey Im kind of north and souht. I like to be early but leave early too from a party. Then again I have my liad back times too and slack on some things LOL NO Offense taken here. I knew what you mean. ALL over the country there are all differing kinds of life styles. I find good and bad in all. I think you also see that too no doubt I never took it that you thought bad of southerners Lori

Jeesh!  Does that mean I would have a flip-flop personality too, simply because I lived in Florida?  Some people are idiots, I would just ignore.  Hope you got all you set out to do accomplished.  Have a great weekend!

You go girl!!  This is YOUR journal to write about what ever you want...and how childish is it to make a fake name just to leave a comment...tells ya right there what your dealing with!!

Sherry that person was VERY immature if they had to resign to a fake screen name.  Or afraid to speak what is on thier mind ... oh wait, that would show immaturity!  I wouldn't give it another thought.  Though I do hope you know I LOVE teasing you about that Christmas countdown ... and most likely will continue.

A fan of yours in Washington.

I love your response to your biggest fan!  And, oh, how I would love to be a fly on their internet wall when your response is read.  Perhaps they will have to venture into J-Land in disguise again. :-D  Mystery Fan should "flip flop" with you and take their own unsolicited advice to chill out.
Keep up the great work on your journal! You are a very talented writer!

It's amazing to me that people like to do those "hit and run" comments and then vanish out of sight, which is probably a good thing :)
Go Sherry Go :)
