Today is "hospital Monday". I am going there with my parents to have my dad's feeding tube put in. I'm told it's not a terribly difficult proceedure, however, with his illness, you just never know. I'm staying positive....praying that everything goes smoothly.
Tonight is also wee one's open house at school. She is so excited! She brought home a sample of her work that will be displayed....a descriptive story about the first day of school. I must say, she has definately inherited her mom's love of writing! Right now she is in bed, enjoying waffles and watching Arthur before school. Man, I wish someone would serve me breakfast in bed....
By the way, the paint with the glitter is a special paint from Lowes. It's a granite paint that is texturized, and it comes with a packet of glitter to mix in. It took an entire can to do that one wall, and it was terrible to work with. So, John and I decided to get regular paint in the color that she wanted, and just buy the glitter part to mix in (it said on the package you could mix it into regular paint). So, if you run your hand along the dark wall, it's all bumpy and texturized. The orangey walls aren't bumpy, yet have the glitter. I'm so happy with the results. I actually mixed some of the glitter into the white paint to do wee one's shelf and it turned out great.Gallon Interior 100% Acrylic Granite Finish
Okay, I'm off to showerland....have a good one!

I hope everything goes well with your dad. My thoughts and prayers are with you today! The girl's rooms look great! Wanna come paint at my place? Neat idea on the glitter and paint. It's amazing the things paint can do these days on walls!
Hope it goes well with your dad...best wishes.X
Prayers that everything goes well for your dad today.
aww breakfast in bed, that would be nice wouldn't it? lol
I've seen those textured paints at Home Depot too, very cool!
I know my daughters would love to have that glitter paint on their walls and I think I might do it...but i'll take your suggestion and get the regular paint and mix the glitter in....thanks!!
It sounds so pretty! My only question (as I'm thinking of using it on a shelf in the new nursery) if you rub your hand on the glittered paint does it end up on your hand? lol not sure if you have to seal it to make sure the glitter doesn't come off.

I will keep your dad in my prayers and thoughts. Keeping strong positive thoughts here.

Prayers going out for your Dad and your whole family. It's never easy. Hugs Lanny
I really hope your dad is ok. I will think about you today and say a prayer tonight.
I will take a look at the paint. I have a sneaky feeling Natalie is going to ask for 1 black wall, which would be nicer with glitter in it, ty :).......Jules xx

Hope everything goes well with your Dad today!
I hope all goes well with you dad today. Have fun at Open House. Isn't it funny how the kids always think its a big party and get all excited seeing the kids they just saw earlier in the day?
Your Dad will be in my prayers today along with the rest of our family. Stay strong and positive.
Hugs, Julie
I will keep you and your Dad in my thoughts today and hope everything goes well. Keep us updated. Thank you for the information on the glitter paint. If the glitter doesn't come off on your hands when you run them along the wall, I may want to do that. If it does though, UH-UH, NO WAY! I would have never thought to put glitter in paint. I mean, I remember when they did it for ceilings, but you would "blow" it on the wet paint, but never on the walls! Those home redecorating shows are good for something huh?! LOL!
Hugs and love, Lisa
I will say a prayer for your dad. The feeding tube won't be so bad.
The rooms look like a professional came in and redid them. Gorgeous. I love the glitter.
