This is how I feel today....like I have a million things to do, and I can't outrun them. I go and go and go, yet still, I can not get caught up.
Yesterday went very well for my dad....and I thank everyone for their thoughtful comments and prayers! He is resting today, a bit sore, but doing relatively well. John left work early and met us at the hospital, just in time to get dad all "loaded up" into the car. Thank goodness he was there, as dad was a bit on the woozy side, in addition to his usual unsteadiness. On the way home, we stopped and got dad his favorite treat, a chocolate iced Krispy Kreme....he was quite happy with it. His feeding tube is to be used for medication, which he has trouble swallowing, and on those days when he chokes too badly to eat. So, he can still enjoy eating by mouth. He fell asleep over his donut at the table....so I guess the proceedure really wore him out, poor guy. Mom says he's doing better this morning, so I'm happy about that.
Today I need to run to the grocery store for the last day of the buy one get two free meat sale....then come home, finish the laundry, clean the house, start my sewing....the usual stuff that hounds me daily. I don't know why I feel so rushed right now....I just do. And I keep thinking that Christmas is only 122 days and 15 hours away....I should be stocking up now, so I'm not in a crunch. Maybe I'll start buying one gift per payday. That would make sense....but will I do it? I don't know....
Okay, I've GOT to get going here before my laundry catches up with me and bites me in the arse....

Glad you dad is doing fairly well. I know how hard it must be for your family to see him like this. {{{{}}}} Calm down and take a deep breath, it will all get done.
I had to laugh at the though of viscous laundry attacking you rear end. My cat was sleeping in mine, do you have a tiger in yours, lol. Sounds like busy busy day there. But fancy mentioning the C word already <tuts> ;)......Jules xxx

I have that same vicious laundry here and I need to iron Bens BDU's since he has a meeting with the Sgt major tomorrow, oh joy!
I'm glad that your dad is doing good after his procedure :)
What a great choice of treats, Krispy Kreme. your dad must have good taste. Glad that the day went well for him. Christmas already! You really are pushing it, no wonder that thing is chasing you. Sara was complaining about school starting I told her just think 4 months and it will be Christmas break already. She just rolled her eyes at me.
So glad to hear things went well for your dad. I hear ya on the can't catch up bit. I seem to be running in circles lately here. Things will hopefully settle down and soon. Enjoy the rest of the day!
HUSH YOUR MOUTH WOMAN!!! You said the "C" word and I don't even want to KNOW how many days are left before that holiday comes!!! I am a Scrooge when it comes to "C", I really dislike that holiday and all the stress that comes along with it!! UGGHHHH! I am happy to hear that your dad is home and resting! Hopefully this feeding tube will help him in getting those much needed meds where they should go to.
Hugs and love, Lisa
