Monday again....

Oh man, what a night....remind me never to go to a certain restaurant again. I'm not even going to mention the name, because just the thought of it makes me woozy. I really do think I got food poisioning....I have never felt so horrible in my life. It was one of those times where you have to sit perfectly still, and I mean barely breathing....I think my color went from healthy pink to a lovely pasty white in seconds. This morning I'm doing better....although I think today's caloric intake will consist of water, tea, and possibly a dry piece of toast....

Our weekend was a quiet one. Wee one had a friend spend the night on Friday, then they went to her house to swim all day Saturday. I took Betsy to Wal-Mart, then came home and did nothing. John washed the car for me and we ended up watching Starsky and Hutch on pay per view. I really liked it too....it was quite entertaining! Another movie that we saw this weekend was Duplex....oh man, that was freaking hysterical! (Yes, it was a Ben Stiller weekend at our house....)Sunday we took the girls to the IMAX theater and saw Bugs!, which was fun. We had never been there before and it was quite an experience. They have a 6 story screen that is 80 feet wide, and they warn you that if you begin to feel dizzy, just close your eyes for a while. Apparently you need to sit in the wayyyyy back to get the full effect. We were in the middle and it was hard to focus on the screen. It makes you feel like you are right there, in the middle of the action. This story followed a caterpillar and praying mantis through the rainforest. The pictures were absolutely gorgeous. It was truly like you were standing in the middle of all of it. They have a nascar one that I'm sure could make you quite dizzy! After that we went for a drive, and then to "the restaurant". Although, while there I did pick up some WONDERFUL hand lotion. It's the Dionis Goat's milk lotion in the Harvest scent....I tell you, when I smelled it tears sprang to my eyes! One sniff and it brought back memories of our trips to Amish Acres, fall, my mom's cozy home back in Indiana....it's funny how certain scents bring back such vivid memories....

Today I will clean at a nice, slow pace....I also have to do the bills I've been putting off, and some laundry. I'm looking forward to a quiet day at home. The girls were off all last week, except for Friday, and that day I had to watch my dad....he loves his new hospital bed! It makes it easier for him to sit up, and get up....

Well, I hear the closing theme to Arthur, which means it's time to get wee one's hair done and out to the bus stop. I think we will be driving down there today....I don't look very good....lol. I hope everyone has a great Monday!

Ohh No Sherry, I am sorry to hear you got so sick. That is the worst. I wonder if it had something to do with all the weather you have been having and the loss of electric...maybe the food was bad?? Get better soon! Take Care, Kim:)

Ouch, Food poisioning is not fun to deal with. I had it once and never want it again.  Get to feeling better soon and do take it easy today. Maybe it's one of the BonBon days and a couch that will fix you up. Hugs Lanny

Hope you get to feeling better today.  Eating bad restaurant food makes for the worst feeling.  We went to an IMAX cinema in Gatlinburg, TN once, they are awesome!

Hi jbcoupe--is it Sherri?  I luv your journal and we've got a lot in common, Mommy stuff & Florida & knowing Lisbnjvi!  My favorite recent entries of yours have to be the snake alert and the one about the price gouging and hurricane shopping-  we are so there with ya.  I am SOOOOOO glad to have electricity too & the heck with this hurricane thing... we are so sick of Hurricanes.  What a summer end this has been and a strange start to the school year!  We're up here in Seminole Cty where both Frances n Charley have pounded us.  Ugh!  Feel free to check out my private journal and I'll add your name to my approved readers list if ya get a chance.  Where abouts are ya in FL?

Sorry you got sick. I guess you will never go there again. Yeah I love the Imax theater and guess what? I like the flying movies like form a birds view and yet I am afraid to fly. I just like the feeling. I love Ben Stiller, did you ever see Something About Mary? PMSL

Hmmm, since you bought hand lotion at the restaurant was it by any chance Cracker Barrell?  Do they even have them in Florida?  Or is that where they originated?  Ooops, I mentioned the restaurant, hope you don't get sick all over again!  My kids love that place though, especially the bisquits that they can't get enough of!  I haven't seen Starsky & Hutch yet, but I used to watch the show waaaayy back when.  I have "Win a Date with Tad Hamilton" to watch tonight, I am hoping that will be a good one.  Glad you are feeling good enough to clean!  :)
Hugs and love, Lisa

Uh-oh, if you bought something at the restaurant, it must have a store too and I'm thinking I know which restaurant that is.  I like them (if it's who I'm thinking, lol)!  I hope you feel better by now.  We have a couple IMAX theaters around here, but I've never been.  Sounds pretty neat though. ~Melissa

Hey, I read your journal all the time but I was kinda on a "journal writing hiatus" over the summer :) But I'm back, and wanted to say hi, and I really enjoy your journal. That graphic is classic, too ;)
