And so, these are the only pics I took this Easter. Hey now, I have been sick so I get to slack! I didn't take any pics of the eggs we colored, or the process of doing so. Didn't get any shots of us in our Sunday best either. Oh well....use your imagination. The kids were beautiful with flowing hair and white smiles, hubby looked handsome in his tailored suit, buff bod and full head of hair....and I, of course, was stunning in a form fitting size 2 dress with strappy heals and perfectly coiffed hair....yeah, the fever from this flu is making me delirious!
Wee one had to make an invention for the school's "invention convention". If none of you have ever had the *pleasure (*enter sarcasm here) of doing this, it is where the kids come up with their "own" ideas for an invention, and then make a prototype and present it. Of course, her class is the ONLY 4th grade class who's teacher made it a requirement that they do the project (it is usually voluntary), and that it will count for 2 science test grades. Ridiculous. They could have spent this time learning what they missed whilst cramming for that freaking standardized test! I tell ya, it will be a miracle if my child learns anything in this freaking school system! I'm seriously considering moving into the neighboring county to get her into better schools.
On a better note....
Today is grocery shopping day....yippee! I'm looking forward to strolling down the aisles, listening to the corny, canned music.....and just relaxing. I tell ya, my trips to the grocery store are like therapy to me. And with the prices, just as expensive as a good therapist! I cleaned out the fridge this morning, which, after not shopping for three weeks took me all of five minuntes. I also cleaned out the pantry. I need to make my list, go through my ads, then make a run to the bank. I will got to two stores today. The first store is not my favorite....but they have some great sales. The second store is my "wander around and zone out" store. I just love it. It's a new store and there is never anyone in there. Ahhhhh, how relaxing.
Okay, enough of my orgasmic grocery shopping commentary....I really have to get going....have a lovely Tuesday!

Oh how I love grocery shopping...I feel my adrenline start as I approach the store...just as I'm entering.... I get hit in the face with all of the specials....and I must look at them all...I read every label and comparison price....and when I get a bargin i'm elated! When I come home I have to tell John about every good deal I found...it's not as much fun if I have no one to tell how much I just saved!

Grocery shopping is my only true alone time as well. I hate the lifted part but the rest is all good. Brianna enjoyed looking at your Easter baskets. They looked very similar to the ones the easter bunny left at our house. LOL Almost identical. I think it's neat you taught Haley how to sew. I can't wait to teach Bri. WTG on all that cleaning my house is a mess.
I avoid grocery shopping at all cost!! I hate it!! That's why I make Jim go...LOL.
Spring sure has sprung by you!! That picture is beautiful!! I wanna climb in and get lost in the green and the sunshine!!
Hope your feeling better!!
*hugs*
I love grocery shopping too actually, with or without children, I just don't mind going. Love the picture you portrayed of your lovely family in their Easter finest!!! Size 2 huh? Hey, I am the same size as you!!!!! LOL!
Hugs and love, Lisa
First of all, your backyard is GORGEOUS! I, too, went grocery shopping today. I actually don't mind the shopping (although they need to make the carts bigger, I always have stuff falling out all over the place.) I hate UNpacking the stuff and putting it all away (thank God for three kids! LOL!!) It's amazing that we must both wear the same size! I have that same size 2 hanging in MY closet! (NO FREAKING WAY!!!!!!! LOL!!) My daughter had to do that stupid Invention thing too when she was in 4th grade. I think she made some board game for the blind (she put braille on the board squares and the cards....whatever.) Then there was the time she made the Macaroni Dance Studio. All different types of macaroni, spray painted silver...the roof came off so you could see the different classrooms. That was 6th grade. She wants to go to college to be a Music Teacher. What did she need to know this stuff for??? Who knows??? These schools just crack me up. Anyway, hope you had fun at the store and came home with some good stuff!

The pictures were fun to look at, wee one has beautiful hair. Do you think she will snip off some and let me make a wig for myself? No? Darn!

This is really strange. You know how you and I have a lot in common? (daughter's named Betsy, live in Florida, wear size 2...haha) well, I about choked on my coffee when I saw the Easter pictures...I have the same rooster table cloth! I liked it so much that I bought 2 and made valances for my dining room out of 1! Great minds do think alike! have a great day sister! .:Barbara:.
