Gee, what a lovely comment to leave in my tribute to dad entry. Being that my journal is rated "G",  and the fact that it is Sunday I will not type in all caps the two words that immediately came to my mind....however, dear Jenny, perhaps before you go hocking your wares, you should read the entry first....sheesh!

Anyway....

I spoke with mom and John whilst walking out of church today. They had gotten to Inday, and rented their car. They said the flight was smooth and the only little glitch was that the reservation for the car showed up as cancelled! Obviously it was straightened out. They should be close to home by now.

I took the girls to church and then we ran to get my mil a birthday gift, and then on to wal mart for a few last minute items. I also stopped at walgreens for a prescription and some marshmallow bunnies. I tell ya, sometimes you only have to look as far as the chocolate aisle for a bit of happiness! LOL.

I can't believe how much stuff I still have to do....yet here I sit doing none of it! I have laundry, packing, cleaning....The girls are, as we speak, trying out their new cd players for the trip. I also bought some new rechargable batteries so I don't have to listen to, "MOM, my player won't work....the batteries are dead!" Man, I hate that!

My aunt and uncle are having us over for dinner today. I think I mentioned that before....but I'm way too lazy to look back and see if I did. They are grilling out. It's 84 today and breezy, which will make for a nice day to eat outside. I think Percy knows something is up....he keeps looking at me with these sad eyes. Dang dog....can't get anything by him! I did by him some bacon flavored strips for treats when he is at his hotel. He should like that.

Okay, I have REALLY got to go and get things done....

YOU REALLY FEEL THE TRUTH OF THIS WHEN YOUR PARTNER DIES .IF YOU CAN LET HER READ THE GREIVING PROCESS ENTRY IT WILL HELP HER FROM THINKING SHE IS GOING TO LOSE HER MIND DON'T EXPECT TO MUCH FROM YOURSELF SIMPLYFY IS THE BEST ADVICE I CAN GIVE GO OUT SIDE AND LISTEN TO MUSIC WHEN THE WAVES OF SADNESS COVER COME YOU. I can't believe they are spamming on journals now. That is so horrible. I doubt that person read your entry. And I also doubt their name is Jenny. Why is every loser female online named Jenny? I bet they are really Men pretending to be Jennys to make a buck.
Lowlife no good for nothing jerks!

Anyway......

I'm glad your mom and hub worked everything out with the car and that they had a safe trip. Smart thinking about the batteries too and I hope you have a safe trip. Make sure you utilize your aol by phone and send me messages so I know what's going on with you.

I hope you have a safe trip sweety!  And, yes, dogs do know when something is up, they have that ability for some reason!  Love that comment that was left for you.  Ugggh!  How heartless!  Hope you got everything done you need to before your trip.

Have a safe trip, I'll be sure to keep you and your family in my prayers.  As for Jenny - inconsiderate is the only 'kind' word I can think of on this Sunday evening.

I thought for sure I was at the wrong journal when I read this one!  Wow it really must be the year 2000!!  People have a lotta nerve... so sorry you encountered this.  You handled it with much less anger than I might have!!  You are self assured and smooth Sherri- what a cool comeback:  "hocking your wares" GOOD ONE!!!!!--  I love it!  That puts it right where it is at: very cheap.  Glad things are going well with the funeral plans and travel.  Keeping you and your family in my prayers.  God Bless,
Lisa
