Of course, I haven't let this cold slow me down....nosiree. I have cleaned the house today, done 4 loads of laundry (folded and put away even!), been through wee one's entire closet sorting and throwing away....along with catching and releasing reptiles that somehow found their way into my house. Yes, as wee one was trying on clothes, she suddenly stood stock still....then yelled, "There's a lizard on my pillow!" Sure enough, there was a bright green lizard (possibly the Geiko Gecko's twin brother), staring right at us as we went through her clothes. Quick thinking as I am, I threw a shirt over him and carried the pillow to the door....where I released him back into the wild. Needless to say, wee one said she is NOT going to sleep in her bed tonight! LOL.
She and I also did mounds of homework, that she put off until the last minute. We only have two things left to do, so that is a relief. Unfortunately, being sick, the Easter Bunny has not done her shopping yet....and she really needs to do it! I think perhaps tomorrow she will be able to get out.
Mom is spending the night tonight....she and wee one are playing bunco as we speak. John is washing and waxing and tuning up her car, so she decided to sleep over instead of having to bring it over so early in the morning. She has already baked cookies and done my dishes....what a woman!
I am going to turn in early tonight....partly because of my cold, and partly because I just took two benadryl....and those suckers always knock me out!

Glad to hear you mom is staying with you tonight. The first few holiday's are the hardest...she sounds like she is doing so good and she is so very lucky to have you all to watch out for her. :)

Ugh!! I hate it when my nose is all sore! But hopefully all the blowing is because there is lots of loose stuff up there, instead of congestion (which stinks!!)
I don't blame your wee one AT ALL! I would sleep on my bed either NOR would I EVER use that pillow again! I am Such a Wuss, it just isn't funny!
I hope you get lots of rest, so the Easter Bunny will be hop hop hopping along on Sunday morning. (((((big hugs))))

The nose running thing is horrible, I feel for ya sister! Hey, hasn't your daughter learned the girls-growing-up-in-Florida lizard trick yet? You take the lizard and gently apply pressure on their cheeks, then when their little mouths open, you slip your earlobe in their mouth and Wahlah, clip-on earrings! My (then little, now teenaged) Florida girls used to wear live lizard earrings all the time! They are harmless, couldn't hurt a fly, well maybe a fly. . .!

You poor thing! Still sick! But, you are right, it doesn't slow you down one bit!!! A lizard in the house huh? Gee, you must live in Florida! LOL! I would have kept it and made it my little Gecko Geico pet. Wonder if it could do the robot? :) Glad Mom is there spending time with you all. She even bakes cookies AND does dishes huh? Sounds like somebody else I know! Feel better sweety!

awwwwwww YOu poor woman. Hey when I had to use bounty and cheap napkins (sometimes toilet paper works better.) But i get htem damp. It does feel a litte better in desperate times. or rub lotion on the. Home made puffs. Good your hubby can do this stuff for your mom. How is she doing???????? HOw are you guys. Ewww...a lizard!! YUCK! I know I wouldn't be sleeping in my bed..lol We're in South Carolina so I just wait for the day when one gets in my house. I will freak out!
