T-G-::sneeze::-I-F ::cough::

Have you ever had one of those days when you are sick, but you get up and get ready and actually feel okay....so you go about your business and do what you have to do. Then when it's over, and you are heading home, the good feeling seems to wear off the closer you get to home. It's like, as each house passes by you feel your muscles begin to ache, your nose gets stuffier, your clothes seem too restrictive, you can almost hear your bed calling? Well, that was my morning.

I got up early and was ready by 7:30 to take wee one to school, along with the cupcakes and treat bags. We got there and the other mom and I went to the cafeteria to put the bags together. They turned out really cute! A group of kids were in there eating breakfast and asked us if we were making them for the whole school....I'm like, nooooo, these are for one class. We took them back to the room, and I helped her to her car with a box of books she had to sort, since she had her hands full and her two year old in tow. We chatted for a bit, and then dh called, so I went back to my own car, which was across the campus. By the time I got into the drivers seat I was so dang tired, and ready to lie down. I drove home in a daze (you know where you are driving and then when you get to your street you are like, "How did I get here?"), went into the house, changed into my "sick" clothes and headed straight to the couch.  It's 1:30 now, and I just got up! This is so unlike me....especially on FRIDAY, my day-before-the-weekend cleaning day! I was resting on the couch, then went to my room....but I couldn't sleep, thinking that I should be cleaning. So, I let the dog out and came in here! LOL....

My mom just called to check on me....awwwww. How sweet. She said she feels bad because she should have cooked something and brought it over....jeez louise! She has enough on her hands! She's like that though. Her house could be burning down, and she would stop to check in on a neighbor before calling 911. When I was a kid, the thing I remember her always making me when I was sick was black cherry jello with canned black cherries suspended in it. I used to get strep throat a LOT, and she would make that and I remember it feeling so good going down my throat. Funny how you remember things like that.

Well, I should get up and do a quick pick up around the house. At least I'll feel better knowing it's not a total mess!

Hope you feel better soon. My mum used to make tomato soup when I was ill or a boiled egg mashed up with butter. I used to lay on the setter with a pillow and blanket, which was usually not allowed. If I was ther I would have cooked food for you and brought it round, but it will be cold by the time it gets to you :( Fell better real soon, you can't feel ill too long with a gorgeous child like wee one in the house :)...............Jules xxx
