I know what you are thinking....from the looks of her icon, Sherry is in store for an exciting day....
I'll admit I love to clean; I get a certain satisfaction from seeing my tables gleam in all of their "pledge-like" glory. I am confident in the fact that if any bird in my neighborhood is going to fly mach 5 into a crystal clear, windexed to perfection, plate glass window, it's going to be mine. To me, a sink full of dishes is not a task to abhor, but a chance for quiet contemplation of the mysteries of life....but as for ironing....I loathe it. I will do anything to put it off. I have been known to make my family wear wrinkled things that are not fit for public viewing....okay, maybe that's going a bit too far....but more than once John has stood in the closet, looking at me with puppy dog eyes saying, "Honey, what do you think I should wear tomorrow?" When I hear him say this I know I've got one more day, minimum, before I have to iron. One time I let it go two days, at which point he actually got the iron and board himself, and was going to attempt to do it. Of course, I jumped up and did it. Not because I'm a Stepford wife, but because I didn't want to have to go out and replace what he was about to scorch.
In any case, today I will be ironing. I will also be running to the store, and finishing some bookwork for a class. Then, I'll find time to make dinner, take Betsy to her CAT scan, etc., etc.
The weekend is shaping up nicely....for wee one. So far it's Thursday and she has two parties lined up. Jeez....I don't have two parties a year, let alone a weekend. Must be nice to be young and popular. Betsy is a free girl as of this morning (grounding, don't ask....), so I'm sure she will be planning to break free this weekend as well.
Okay, time to take wee one to the bus stop and start my day....happy happy joy joy!http://victorian.fortunecity.com/russell/105/spumrs.htm
*Update: It's 10:55 am and I still haven't started my ironing....looks like my procrastination-free week has officially ended!

Hi Sherry! I love cleaning too...just don't tell my husband!! It is very rewarding to me! Ironing is not my favorite either;)
Have A Good Day,
Kim
Cleaning? Are you girls nuts? It's too much like work hahaha Have a clean day Sherry and watch out for them birds. Hugs Lanny
OH how I hate ironing. I rarely do it. I need to find a way to have all no iron clothes. !!!!!!! Lori
Iron? I have 4 loads of clean clothes wrinkled on the dryer. from last weekend. You would have an anxiety attack if you saw it. No doubt! I'm just gonna wash them again in smaller loads and hope I make it to the dryer fast enough before they wrinkle up and hopefully this time around I will iron them. Or maybe just throw them all out and start over. Disposable clothes. I have a really expensive iron too but no board so I never iron..just as needed.
I never iron anymore because my ironing is not up to someone's "standards." So everything goes to the dry cleaners which is fine by me. Hope you all have a fun weekend.
Ironing? What is that? I guess I should do some cleaning today also but what's the point since your house will always be cleaner than mine no matter what I do. I guess I won't clean today.

I don't enjoy ironing either but what I do is put the ironing board in front of the TV and I iron while watching a favorite show...like court TV and the time goes by so fast because i'm so into the show and before you know it my ironing is done...

I am just the opposite, I love to iron. Weird huh?! When I was younger my mother HATED ironing as you do, and my father would actually pay me to iron his shirts for work since she wouldn't do it. Hmmm, maybe that's why I loved it huh?! Hee-hee!
Hugs and love, Lisa
I hope Betsy's CAT scan went okay. And isn't wee-one the popular girl!! I use to love that when I was a kid...always a sleep over or a party to go to every weekend...ahh those were the days!! :o)
Hope you got your ironing done!!
*hugs*
Poor, Poor Sherry!!! Too bad you don't have a mother that would help you out once in a while? Oh wait..............I am that Mother, and I think I did help you out when the kids were younger. Yes, it is all coming back to me. Mom can you babysit? Yes, and there it was, stareing me in the eyes...........the dreaded ironing basket. You knew I could not bare it!!! I had to iron all the clothes, including those horrid polo shirts ICK!!! But then looking back on it, those might have been the good old days, right LOl Love ya, Mom
LOL, it's so funny that the things you like doing, I detest, but I like to iron. I imagine your house is all Martha Stewart like. I will never live up to that, you good housewives make me look bad. hahaha :)~Melissa
Whew, I'm sitting here giving thanks that Sonny wears tee shirts and jeans to work ~ none of it gets ironed. I work in a very casual place ... just no BLUE jeans ... black jeans, brown jeans, purple jeans are all fine, just no BLUE ones! Anyway, I can't remember the last time I picked up an iron. And if I did, I think Sonny might run to my rescue in fear of me burning myself or possible whatever it was I felt needed to be ironed!
