I'm exhausted....

Gee, I wonder what Sherry has been doing all day....you got it, moving furniture. Well, lets back up to how it started. I had planned to spend today cleaning our back porch since it is still a bit dusty from the hurricanes. I got up, got dressed, and then dh and I decided to make a quick run to Lowes before we began. We went there and started spending money....$400 later, we left with new rugs, a new sink, new fixtures, vertical blinds for the living room, dining room and bedroom....you get the picture. So, we come home with the intention of doing the porch first, when I said to John, "do you smell something wierd?" As I'm standing there, I look down and I see that Percy had had a seizure on the kitchen floor....great. Betsy and her friend are sitting at the kitchen table, eating cold pizza and Betsy says to me, "I wondered why Percy was all wet on one side...." DUH! Thank goodness she put him outside....

So, I mop the floor, then realize he hit the carpet in the dining room....crud. I take him into the bathroom and give him a bath, then we have to go to my mom's to get the steam cleaner....oh, and stop for gas. We get home, and wee one calls and needs a ride home....*sigh. I steam the carpet then run to pick her up, and when I get home dh has started hanging blinds. So, I decide to clean things up....and move just ONE thing. But that one thing grows into several things. I have taken apart and put together my sewing table 3 times today....and moved my huge bookcase, chair, computer....John hung all the blinds AND is now in the process of putting in my new sink! Of course, no one touched the porch....which means tomorrow will be spent working out there. Oh yes, and when dh opened the box for the sink, there were no clips....which the outside lable clearly stated there would be....so he took wee one back to Lowes where they searched through three boxes, two of which were also missing clips....the lady at the counter said that happens all the time....wtf? Then stop carrying that brand! Jeez....

I did end up changing the battery in the answering machine yesterday....and nowit shines like a steady beacon in the night....and blinks only when there is a message.

My arms are so sore from moving heavy things....they feel like wet noodles. Yesterday at the store I bought some bath salts for "sore and tired muscles". I believe I will be using them tonight. They smell so good....like eucalyptus and vicks. Mmmmmm, menthol....

Here's a weekend laugh, courtesy of sdrogerson of "Specimen Days"....

Did you hear about the Buddhist who refused Novocain during a root canal?

He wanted to transcend dental medication.

I'm tired from just reading this.  I spent the day in the car looking at new homes again.  That's my husband's favorite pastime!

That joke is funny. Oh I know those days you start on one thing then another and another and another. OH MAN it just keeps going on and on. I know about trips to SLOWES Only to have to go back. Shouldnt they post a sign that say....... Check as this sink is normally missing part!!!!!!!!! GOOD GRIEF!!!!!!!!! You will have to show us pics of all you have done. I would like to get new faucets for the bath room sink in thte girls bathroom. Just havent done it. its amazing how fast $400 can add up isnt it. We got lots of yard work to tomrrow if it quits raining so we can mow. The leaves and pine needles are thick and killing the grass. Lori

lol going to Lowes or Home Depot will do that everytime!
It seems like you have one goal in mind and that always turns into 40 different tasks.
I hope Percy is feeling better!
