I'm gonna get grounded for this....

You are a wonderful daughter, but if you want to be perfect in my eyes, please don't post any of the pictures.  Love, You Know Who

(Sounds a bit threatening....don't you agree? I wonder what Dr. Phil would say about this???? lol....)

I was warned not to post pics of my mother....but I did it anyway....lol. She is going to be mad at me, but I think its worth the risk. I love the pic! We had to take 4, count them 4 pictures before we had one with her eyes open! She is just like my husband. It never fails, he shuts his eyes, then won't let me take another one....but we finally got one where her eyes were open. And YES, I did notice wee one shut hers, but we weren't doing it again!

The girls got her the new Queen Latifa cd, which is a jazzy cd with some old standards....not rap. And John and I got her a new vcr, since the old one took a dive. They had it less than a year and it stopped working....but now they can go back to watching Bridges Of Madison County 100 times a month....lol. My mother loves movies that either A. Break your heart or B. Involve the main character dying a slow, sad death. I just don't get it....but she is happy and that is all that matters! (Love you mommy....)

In other news....today I will have a child home with me again. Betsy woke up with a sore throat and feeling nauseated around 1 am, and is still sick to her stomach. She, apparently, has the same thing wee one did. She was complaining of her throat last night, so I guess I should have expected it. My 5 days of alone time this week has shrunk to 3....*sigh.

I need to spend the day sewing. I can do wash too....oh joy. I kind of like having a quiet day where I can just put the tv on, sit at my sewing table, and zone out. It's good therapy for me. I've got my cd player set up too, in case I'm in the mood for a little sewing music. I think I'll brew a pot of coffee as well....just to raise the "cozy factor" a few notches. Of course, if it were cool outside, that would make it perfect. It was HOT here yesterday and the forecast isn't looking too promising for fall weather in the next week. Dang it.

Enjoy your day....

Happy Birthday to your Mom!!! What a beautiful bunch of gals you are! Poor Betsy, we are going through the same thing here. This dang bug keeps jumping from one person to another. Dh has yet to get it and I dread the day that HE gets sick. We all know what sick husbands are like. Take Care....Kim  ;-)

I wonder what this sickness is thats going around?  Aaron had the same thing!
Oh your day sounds nice.  I don't have a sewing machine, but I want one so bad.  Then I just have to learn how to use it. LOL ~Melissa

Well, I LOVED the pictures and you have a BEAUTIFUL mom, not that it would be a surprise, looking at her daughter.

Any you are a HORRIBLE TEASE! Showing us that yummy looking red velvet cake, it looks nothing like the red velvet I see at the hospital.  YES, I wanna a piece!  Oh, I can't have a piece.  :-(  Well, I'll just IMAGINE what it was like to savor it! :-)
