Good morning....take 2

Okay, I'm up, I'm up....man! I dont' know what  happened there. I got up after 6 did the mom thing with Betsy, got wee one up at 7, came back in from the bus stop and sat at the computer till 8:30, talked to my mom on the phone till 9....and from there it's all a blur....I woke up again at 11. I just laid down for a minute before getting ready to run to the store....sheesh!

Anyway, I'm up now. I have to admit, it was kind of nice. I laid down and it started raining gently outside my window.....the clouds covered the sky....my bed was so dang comfy (even though I had to brush some crubs aside from wee ones breakfast!).

I don't know what to make for dinner. I don't have a taste for anything in particular, which means I'll take this opportunity to cook something I don't like, but the family does. Hmmmm, meatloaf or spaghetti? I think I'll go with spaghetti.

I was bored Sunday so I thought I'd just randomly put names of people I used to know into the search bar and see what came up. I had been on one of those school sites (classmates, reunion, I don't remember), and thought about some of the people I used to know. Anyway, I ended up getting my directory from my 10 year reunion out, and putting in some names. I found two interesting things. One girl I went to school with is an actress and married to a wrestler. I also found a picture of a guy that I was "totally" in love with. He was on the wrestling team, had great hair, smelled like Polo cologne (remember that stuff?). He was obnoxious and loved to tease me....and I was crazy about him. Our lockers were given alphabetically, and we should have been far apart....but he was lazy and used his friend's locker that was right next to mine (::dreamy sigh::). He had a girlfriend who was older and went to another school....he looked like a young Bruce Springsteen. I used to pray that he would realize what a stone-cold fox I was (man, I could hardly type that with a straight face!), and ask me to be his girlfriend. So, like I said, I found a recent picture and bio of what he's been up to since graduation....does anyone remember the Garth Brooks song "Unanswered Prayers"? Wow. Things certainly do change. His story was quite comical, and would make a really good country song as there were bar fights, drinking, and ex-wives involved....along with Harley's and tatoos....

Anyway....I need to get to the store. I have to pick up pictures from the field trip, and get some posterboard for wee one. Her aunt asked her to make a poster for the pumpkin carving contest they are having at work. I also need to stop and see if payless has any boots for wee one....last year we looked high and low for those cute, black, to the knee, zip up boots and couldn't find any. Hopefully they are having a buy one get one 1/2 off sale because I'm in the mood for new shoes!

I'm gonna be heading in to take a nap as soon as my sheets are done drying too!  No school today so it's been nice.  I love the boots they have out now!  They have the pointy toe with the spiked heels just like I used to wear in the 80's!  So, I of course had to try some on and you know what?!  They were so uncomfortable I had to put them back!  Give me my clogs anyday!  Geez, getting old sucks!  I keep getting bombarded with invites and emails for my 20th high school reunion and just looked at the RSVP's that are going so far.  Can't even tell you who any of them are so far that are going!  We had a class of 660 so I was bound to forget, oh, about 650 of them right?!  LOL!
Hugs and love, Lisa

lol mmm polo cologne! It is funny how things work out, for the best at times!

It sounds like you needed that nap. I took one last week. Sometimes your body just has to have a chance to catch up.

Have fun shopping for shoes, I need to get to Payless and take advantage of that sale for Caitlin and I!

You are so funny with the Garth Brooks song. How true is that. And you are still a fox. Your story of your morning makes me wanna go back to bed.

I took a nap this morning  myself ... it was heaven after the past couple of days I had work.

I love that Garth Brooks song.  I too saw the guy I had the biggest crush on and I was like WHEW, glad nothing became of that mad crush!

It must be a girl thing, because my girls want new boots each fall too.
It's so easy to go nap when it's cloudy and raining.  I hope you enjoyed it.
That is really funny about the guy from highschool.  A lot of the guys I went to school with have worked with Aaron.  One day I was bored and went to our country sheriffs web page and typed in names for the arrest search, LOL  I found some guys I went to school with!  I guess that was kind of mean. ~Melissa

I think I would feel better if my "first true crush" was a Harley-driving, tatoo-sporting dude.  It would be much easier for me to be around him.  He was my best friend for 8 years, and he married this high-maintenance girl that didn't fit him AT ALL.  They are still married, and I've obviously moved on... but I hate when he comes around!  My husband now hangs out with him!

Those friends re-united sites are pretty cool. I recently found a girl I went to school with all those years ago and we are in touch via email. Not quite sure if I would want to find my 1st love though. Hope you got all you needed at the shops and maybe a treat for you ;).........Jules xx

Nostalgia...great isn't it. My "first love" who I swear was gorgeous when we went out together, lost all his front teeth & went bald before he was 25 (not as a result of dating me I hasten to add). I was quite embarrassed in later years to "own up" to him!!!
