Ahhh yes, this morning wee one provided me with breakfast in bed....literally. She spilled half her bowl of soggy cereal all over my sheets! I knew what happened as soon as I went in there, as the smell of milky "Finding Nemo buy-one-get-one-free cereal" hit me when I walked in. Right now my sheets and favorite pillow (which is most likely ruined being that it was a feather pillow) are in the washer. Nothing like waking up to a hearty breakfast....all over the place....
I took Betsy to the doctor last night and he said that he isn't sure weather her infection is viral or bacterial, being that she's had it over two weeks. So, he gave her an antibiotic just to be on the safe side. I couldn't believe it; I almost fell out of my chair. For some reason here in Florida, they absolutely WILL NOT give you an antibiotic unless you have a bacterial infection, and they can proove it. Back home, they would give you medication when you needed it, and a refill "just in case" anyone else got sick. Not here boy....they want you to pay those co-pays! I've had to take wee one to the doctors twice in two weeks then they give me, "Hmmmm, I guess it is bacterial. Let me prescribe something." Well DUH....make her suffer and then give her something. Anyhoo, this was a new PA that just started at the office. He is wonderful! I prefer a woman doctor, but he has a teriffic bedside manner, and Betsy really liked him. She took her first dose last night, and a second this morning, so hopefully she will be feeling better soon.
I, however, feel like crap. But, I will not dwell on that, as someone who regularly reads this journal has told me I was complaining too much! (pmsl) So, I shall put on my "Pleasentville" face and not mention that I'm tired and achey, and that my throat hurts and my head, and that I need to be taken care of for a day!
Wee one went to her fall festival party with her friend last night. They had a ball. The church rented one of those big air slides, and wee one said it was as tall asthe sky! LOL....she also won a door prize, which was two Veggie Tales coloring books and a huge box of crayons. She was thrilled. She dressed as a hippie and looked really cute. I keep thinking, only a few more years and then neither of my kids will be dressing up for Halloween. It's so dang depressing! I think I'm having some sort of Mommy Crisis lately. I am so sad that the girls are getting older. It seems like just yesterday they were babies or toddlers....*sigh....
I'm not sure what I'm making for dinner. I have a taste for something really comforting and homemade....and prepared by someone else! LOL....I somehow doubt that will be happening. Maybe I'll make chicken and dumplings....yeah, that sounds good.
Okay, I've got to get going here. The washer is done and I need to check on my beloved pillow....here's hoping!

In your journal you should be able to complain as much as you want without repercussions. Really.
Kids don't seem to grow up fast but when you sit and take a look, they somehow grew up right before your eyes and you missed seeing it happen. I do hope your pillow survived. Hugs Lanny
first i have to say if you want to complain it is better to do it here then with the dh and kids so go ahead and complain all you want. I also hope your pillow makes it. I love my feather pillow too.
and just one more thing I am in IN. and they won't give my antibiotic's for my kids. They will give me the anitibiotics for the baby's ear infecction but not for the other two kids. My Dr. said they have to regulate the use of antibiotics cuz of the government. wtf is going on here the government isn't having to get up with these kids when they are sick at 2 or 3 in the morning.
have a gr8 day.
Ahhh how thoughtful, breakfast in bed, no one has even attempted that in my house!! Anyway it is starting to get cold here in NY, this morning when I went to work out there was ice on my windsheild!!! Im not looking forward to winter!! Your lucky! Heather~ Hra73
I hope you are feeling better soon. Please know I am praying for your pillow to make it! ha ha..Have a great day! Kim :-)
I think Mike's making homemade chicken and noodles for us tonight! I'm all about comfort food right now. It's chilly here, and the leaves are starting to disapear, people are raking and there is a hint of winter in the air. Chili sounds good, too.
I think you should complain away! If complaining is a journal land sin, then I must be struck down by lightening immediately!

HOpe your pillow turns out fine. Idont know whats up with drs or insurance none of it makes sense. !!!!!!!!!!!Not like the good old days. OH HOW Of late I am hating my stage of life. There is a song by Staci Oricco that says it well that I almost posted. I been listing to that song I dont like where I am. This is my last year of homeschooling Rachael is 16 and Tracy is 23. I hate this stage of life. I miss when they were 2 and 9. Still under that magic double digits. !!!!!!!! Lori
It's your journal, you are allowed to whine and complain if you like. I hope you and your whole family feel better soon. It stinks feeling icky. I am kind of looking forward to my kids not dressing up anymore. I used to love it when they were little and went all out making their costumes but now I'm over it. ALthough I do love seeing all the little kids coming up to our door.
I am so sorry but have to admit I did laugh at the thought of a breakfast shower, poor wee one, bless her for trying. I hope your pillow comes out ok. It sounds like you're getting Betsys sore throat. I hope you feel better soon.............Jules xxx

You do not complain too much at all. I think you complaned 3 times in your journal life. Whatever. LOL Boy do i feel your pain about the docs and the copays and all that garbage. It's just not like it was when I was younger and you actually got medicine when you were sick. Feel better. Sorry about the sheets. Love you!
Never fear........before you know it you will be a granmother and it all starts over again. It is called the cycle of life...........lololol
Oh Man!! I sure hope your pillow came out okay!! That accident does sound very familiar tho!!
Sure hope Betsy starts to feel better soon!! I hope the medicine works for her. And you...I sure hope you start to feeling better soon too!!
And way to go Wee-One!!! Yay!!
*hugs*
Hmmm it seems I am changing my sheets at least twice a week for just this reason actually! I allow the kids to eat in my bedroom and it never fails that something spills on my sheets! And, who said YOU can't complain in your journal?!?! You can complain and whine and do whatever you want, it's your journal right? Well, it's hard to whine and complain about yourself when everyone else in the house is sick though! Hope everyone, including you, is feeling better soon! :)
Hugs and love, Lisa
It's your journal write what you want :)
I hope you start feeling better soon, I still feel like crap myself.
I'm glad that Betsy is feeling better and WTG wee one :)
