Tree house Saturday....

As you can see by the pictures, dh and wee one started building her tree house this weekend. They have the support beams up so far, and boy did they work hard! Wee one is so excited about working with her dad. They have made plans to put in steps underneath that lead up to a trap door....windows....ceiling fan....indoor/outdoor carpet....etc. It is going to be really cool when they are done. They are going to make it look like our house on the outside, with brick on the front and white on the sides. I didn't do any of the physical work....but as you can see I provided lunch! LOL.

Not much else went on this weekend. We went to the mall on Saturday night and Betsy filled out some applications. Sunday was spent at church, then we took my mom out for lunch. It was a nice weekend all around.

This week is "teacher appreciation week". The children brought in a cut flower for the female teacher, and candy for the male teacher today. Tomorrow we will be buying lunch for them....and I forget what the rest of the week holds. As I was driving to school this morning, every bus stop I passed had children standing with bunches of flowers. It was cute.

I have a pounding headache this morning. Oh man, it's afternoon! I didn't realize that....where does the time go? Only 14 days of school left for my children....I had better stock up on tylenol. LOL. Okay, I'm going to go take some now and maybe take a nap....have a good one.

Today is one of those days I wish I were in Florida!! It is so cold, rainy and dreary.  It has been for days now.  *Sigh*  I hope it soon warms up, as it is only 38 degrees here right now.   Sounds like Wee One is going to have a really nice treehouse.  My oldest son is 11 years old and  For Teacher Appreciation Week here they have to take the teachers flowers on Monday, candy on Tuesday, write them a poem for Wednesday, make them a card for Thursday, and for Friday they have to write  a letter about their teacher(what they have learned, what their teacher means to them, etc)
They are doing other things as well, one being having a party on Friday in the teachers honor.  We never did stuff like this when I was in school so this is new to me.  Have a great day!

So, isn't a tree fort supposed to be in a tree?  Hmmm, maybe I am not looking at this the proper way!  LOL!  My kids have ALWAYS wanted a tree fort and I am surrounded by woods, but unfortunately I have a man that can't build a thing.  Sigh.  Thanks for the reminder about teacher appreciation week!  YIKES!  Better do something before the week it out!  :)
Hugs and love, Lisa

Tell her not to forget that she'll need a secret passord, and a "No Boys Allowed" sign!
