It seems by the volume of comments that I received on my last entry that I am not the only woman in America with "OFGC Syndrome" (over-flowing-garbage-can). I feel soo much better knowing that! LOL. Things are much better today and I know why that is....
Have you heard of the disorder called "SAD"? Seasonal Affective Disorder....it's where people become sad and depressed, usually during the winter, when they are deprived of sunlight. Apparently I have the dyslexic version of the disorder. Today I woke up to NO humidity, high 60's and partial cloudiness. I can't begin to tell you how much better I feel. My mood is lighter, I have more energy, things are just, well, happier! Of course, I know the humidity and 90 degree days are ahead, but I'm going to enjoy today for all it's worth.
I took Betsy to work tonight, then came home with a burger for dh who is slaving over my brakes, both front and back....what a guy. Anyway, when I came into the garage with his food, he pointed out the spider that was hanging near the ceiling. Holy crap....that thing was freaking huge! I don't know if you can tell in the pic....but the flash from the camera actually lit his eyes up. Ewwwwwww~! Dh told me that it was a baby compared to the ones that are crawling around the building at work. They are in a woodsy area and he said that it isn't odd to see one the size of a dinner plate!
Being that he is deathly afraid of spiders (there was a banana spider "incident" when he was a child....), I picked up a broom to kill it (yes, I did say KILL....if you are offended by this, please send me your number and I'll be glad to call you the next time we have a spider rescue emergency!), when dh told me not to bother because it would be too fast for me. I decided to let him shoot it with some bug spray and, let me just say....I've never seen anything move faster than that spider in my life! He must have been hanging there from his web because he looked like a fireman sliding down a pole! We both jumped about 10 feet....but our mission was accomplished....we had to do something because he was right above wee one's scooter and bike. I didn't want her to get bit.
Both of the girls are sunburned. Wee one has been swimming every day and is a lovely golden bronze....however, they spent the day in the pool with their grammy today and it was overcast. Both of them are burned....especially Betsy who normally looks as white as the underside of a fish! LOL. She has gotten a bit of sun lately though and is looking more Floridian....but don't tell her I said that!
Okay, I'm off to enjoy the rest of the cool and refreshing evening that God has given me....have a good one!

I found this jornal entry quite interesting. Actually in yesterdays journal, I believe there was nearly a paragraph devoted to the fact that NO ONE rinses off their dishes before putting them in the sink. I found that fascinating, since I noticed today, that SOMEONE ate a hot pretzel with cheese for lunch, and placed the entire messy cheese place complete with 1/2 inch of melted cheese, directly into the sink.....and then SOMEONE'S mother had to rinse it off before SOMEONE'S
mother did the dishes for her!! Hmmm..........perhaps this is where the old saying, the pot calling the kettle black, comes from??? Too bad SOMEONE'S mother doesn't know how to use a freakin' digital camera!!
Someone in Florida...............
OMG- that spider would have me packing and running!! The sight of it scared me as I am so terrified of spiders, even the little ones. And your husband said there is some the size of a dinner plate?! OMG- OMG-- well that is about all i can say about that. LOL!!
Have a good day

I would hate to have spiders that big and would have been like you and jumped a mile whilst trying to remove it. The rest of the house looks typical of kids and a man living in it, leaving the wife/mum to do all the picking up! Glad wee one likes the wallet :).......Jules xxxx

All it takes for me is the spider. That's it. We will never be neighbors unless you move back. Sorry. I don't do mammoth spiders.

I understand your sunshine overload. I will offer a cure......move to Minnesota. There are redeeming things about this state, but sunshine overload is not one of them. I lived in NC for a number of years, and decided to move and have regretted it since. I miss the beach and the sunshine! At the time I was overloaded with sun and bugs, but now realize that everything is a trade off. I think I'd be hard pressed to get sunburned in MN!
I usually read and don't comment. I'm with you about the weather. The nastier it is out, actually, the better I like it, so I'm probably worse than you. Love to sit and watch the rain too....and listen to it.
And, as for spiders. I hate them. Last summer, we had some odd ones and I had them bighting me over and over. Kill 'em all, I say. : )
