This was my dh today. Now, he shoveled the mulch into the wheel barrow for me, however, I and I alone raked and spread two freaking yards of the stuff. I also transplanted, dug, watered, etc. I am having trouble typing this because my fingers are even sore! But I have to say....it looks wonderful. I'm too tired to go out there and take pics, so you will have to trust me on this one. We still need two more yards of mulch to finish up. We started at 8:30 this morning and I finished at 3:30 this afternoon. But, it was a gorgeous day....overcast and breezy, which made things much easier.
I had to soak in the tub forever....my hands looked neon orange from the coloring in the mulch. I just can't wear those gloves when I do that. I need to "be one with the mulch" as I spread it around....lol. And of course, I just realized that I forgot to pick up the dogs medicine....so that means I have to get dressed again and go out. Damn it!
Wee one spent the day swimming with her little friends from the neighborhood. They were so cute. They must have jumped in and out of the pool 100 times today. They were wild! Betsy actually made them lunch....mac and cheese for everyone! She is at work now and since it is Saturday....JB had to pick her up! Woofreakinhoo. I have a feeling I will not be awake at 11!
I suppose I had better get a move on and pick up the freaking medicine. Man, I wish Walgreens delivered!

Good for you getting all of that done! I know you are sore, but man, looking out the window at all your hard work is SOOOO worth it isn't it?!?! I don't like the colored mulch, everyone uses it in this neighborhood and you have to replace it every 2 years (at least here you do, don't know if that is everywhere!). I want to get rock eventually. I already have the rose quartz rock picked out and everything! Bet I don't have to change that every few years huh? But, man, it's gonna be HEAVY!!!! I hope you sleep well tonight, although I know you will!
Hugs and love, Lisa

Oh I'm feeling for ya!! My husband the former landscaper and I never agree on the mulch... or the color of the mulch... and no matter what I do it is never good enough for him or spread quite the way he would do it. He wants me to help but complains if I help or don't help so it's a no win for this house. Sigh. We need to do ours soon. It's always a real workout and I'm always so dirty afterwards. I tend to look like I rolled around in it after I'm done. LOL!
Hugs,
Lisa
I can't believe Rex is dead

You guys are doing all kinds of things, spring fever I suppose. Has it gotten sauna hot yet up there? I've been dying for the past 2 weeks. I have a ton of yard stuff to do, but I want to die when I go out there. hahaha, I'm sure you understand. Hope your body is feeling a little less sore by now :)~Melissa
