Studying Saturday....

Right now I am being the "good wife". I'm sitting outside on my porch, enjoying the gorgeous 70 degree day....while taking notes for my husband on finance. I'm taking a break after two hours of highlighting and definition writing on individual notecards. Not only are they individual, but they are sorted by chapter and subject. Mmmmhmmmm, I am definately expecting some kind of gem to bejewl my finger this Christmas season.

However, while doing this for him, I've discovered something about myself that is rather surprising. Apparently, I'm not as smart as I thought I was. This is a hard freaking class! I tried my hand at figuring out a problem using the CAPM, or "Capital Asset Pricing Model". I almost got it right....but not quite. I am now referring to it as the "Confusing And Periodically Mindnumbing" equasion.

It really is nice outside right now. I slept with the windows open last night, and my bedroom was so cozy. Of course how good that was for my cold is yet to be seen. I am going to the doctor on Monday, because I'm beginning to think this may be bacterial....

As for the rest of today, I'll probably do some sewing until dh gets home from work, then he wants to go to Lowes for some porch paint.  Oh joy. Why can't he just go there on his way home from work? Well, I suppose it would be rather hard carrying 2 gallons of paint home on his motorcycle. But he does have bags....although I wonder if it would throw off his balance. Guess it is a better idea that he goes after he gets home.

I've decided on a more soothing musical choice for my journal. Kind of classy....the music, not the journal.

Okay, I'm off to finish "my" studying and sewing. I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend!

It sounds like you are having a really nice day...it's in the 70's here too, actually it's 74 degrees. The kids are off to a church event, Mike went with the girls too so it's just John and I and the dogs...the house is quiet, no music blaring and the TV's are off...so peaceful. I have to head off to the grocery store in a little while and I'm dragging John along with me...as for the rest, well, you read about that on my journal already! Enjoy your day

OHdang I was dissa pointed to not hear stacys mom. yeah I hate math. You see being dyslexic i can sure get in a mess easy. LOL about yoru mess above. Oh man you can take all day to clean in five seconds it can be destroyed. I sure hope you get something for your cold. Did you try the hot Toddy???????? Sweagting that dang varmit out of there. Here is what I got from a friend on a cold...........
Eat right! Make sure you get your daily dose of fruits and veggies.

- Take your vitamins and bump up your vitamin C.

- Get plenty of exercise because exercise helps build your immune system.

- Walk for at least an hour a day, go for a swim, take the stairs instead of the elevator, etc.

- Wash your hands often. If you can't wash them, keep a bottle of antibacterial stuff around.

- Get lots of fresh air. Open windows whenever possible.

- Get plenty of rest.

- Try to eliminate as much stress from your life as you can.

OR . . .

You can take the doctor's office approach. Think about it:

When you go for a shot, what do they do first? Clean your arm with alcohol. Why? Because alcohol kills germs.

So. . .I walk to the liquor store (exercise), I put lime in my Corona (fruit), celery in my Bloody Mary (veggies), drink on the bar patio (fresh air), get drunk, tell jokes, and laugh (eliminate stress) and then pass out (rest).

The way I see it, if you keep your alcohol levels up, flu germs can't get you!!!!

OMG!  You are an amazing wife taking notes for your DH!  You should have taken the course with him and at least gotten credit as well.  Hope you start feeling better.  I definitely have a cold now but it doesn't sound as bad as yours.  I started taking Zicam right away which helped make the symptons not as severe.
