I'm so in the Christmas spirit....can you tell? LOL.
We spent the entire day in St. Augustine, shopping and eating. I swear, over the past few days I've gained 4 pounds! I'm going to have to seriously diet when the holidays are over!
I didn't buy anything today. There really was nothing that I wanted. The weather was gorgeous....high 60's with a cool breeze off the water. The skies were a bright blue, with a smattering of clouds. The stores were all playing Christmas music, which was so pretty....except for the store playing "tropical" holiday music. You know, those drums they play in the Carribean? I told Betsy, "That's just WRONG!"
We ate at a little cafe and had the best hamburgers I had ever eaten. They were thick and cooked to absolute perfection. Afterward, the girls got "dots", they are little ice cream pebble looking things that are kept cool with dry ice. Very weird, definately a kid thing....and John and I got turtle sundaes....and yes, they were as decadent as they sound. I tell ya, I'm stuffed still, and it's after nine!
This week is going to be a busy one. My mother in law is coming in Thursday morning, and my sister and her husband are coming in an hour after that. Mil will be here for 5 days, sis for 9. It should be nice though. I'm looking forward to it.
Okay, I'm being distracted by Desperate Housewives....who in the world is going to be knocked off????
**Okay, I didn't figure they would kill off any of the main characters....but really, was that woman a "desperate housewife"? big sigh though....for a minute there I thought the frazzled mom was going to be gone....

I so relate to your subject line! In the past couple of hours I have been especially glad the kids will be going back to school tomorrow. Wanna do lunch?? Glad you had a great day.
Me too! I thought for SURE that Lynette was going to die, and I was like WTF is going on?!?!? (I've missed the past 2 episodes) And I cannot BELIEVE that Bree's son Andrew was acting the way that he was!!!! @@ I'd kick his ass, and NO way would I have risked my life and security so that he wouldn't have to go to jail for something that he RIGHTFULLY did! UGHHHHH!
Ok, end of my mini rant;)
Glad that you had a great time shopping, and the turtle sundae sounds delish! :) Mmmmm!
It's going to snow here in the next couple of days, and I'm devising up ways to freeze it, and ship it in dry ice to you..LOL ;)
Hugs,

Lori
The busy body, backstabbing, money thieving housewife was knocked off. I so thought it was going to be the blonde. Oh but what did Mary Alice do to get her husband to commit murder???! The plot thickens. :o)
About 2 1/2 yrs ago I went to Florida with my daughter and my sister. We went into St. Augustine and it was just the coolest, neatest, most wonderful place ever! I love it! I'm jealous that you live so close!!! We ate someplace there too, but I can't remember the name of it. Phooey. Anyhow...it's so great!
Tonight was the first night that I watched Desperate Housewives. It is definitely a show to get COMPLETELY HOOKED ON!! Oh wow...and it is sooo good that it's like if you are jumping into it in the middle of the season you don't care that you don't know everything about it. Wow...I can see why you love it!! Now I have a dilemma on Sunday nights...Desperate Housewives or Law and Order: CI? It just so happens that Law and Order CI, which I also LOVE, wasn't on tonight so that is why I got to watch. Hmmmm.......lol
yea I thought hot guy was going to kill her but instead he attacked her in the good way. Wow! I want some. No not turtle icecream I want that dude. LOL Sounds like a great day with the family. But I feel sick and the hamburger discription made me weazy. Not your fault. I love ya! Going to bed now.
Sounds like a beautiful day!! I didn't know your family was coming to stay with you. How wonderful! More stories for you to tell and more shopping to hear about! HOORAY!!!!
Hugs and love, Lisa
Your day sounds really nice.I've seen those dots on the Food Network. They look kinda cool.Your company will be staying for a while huh?Yeah,I knew they wouldn't kill off a main character, but that whole scene with the crazy mom was quite wild wasn't it?I'm glad they killed off the nosy bitchy neighbor. She was really driving me nuts.KIM
Sherry...I can hardly read your entry...I don't know if it's my old age or what. But actually I just noticed that if I go to the comment area I can read it fine. I figured that they would kill that older woman off at the beginning of the show. There was no way they would kill off one of the main MAIN characters when the show is doing so well.
I love a nice thick juicy burger! oh yummy! with lettuce, tomato, onion and ketchup dripping down the sides! And a side of big thick onion rings! (jennifer made me hungry for those the other day and I'm still dreaming about them! :-)
Sounds like it'll be a good visit with your family. Going to start on your holiday shopping? I'm going to hit the stores soon, **procrastination alert** -- when I say "soon" -- I mean "yeah, right..... more like "eventually"" lol!!!
Love you!!!! Anna
Sounds like a great weekend and an upcoming busy week!!
Was last night show great or what!! Now we have to wait two weeks!! I don't know if I can!!!
*hugs*
I thought the mom hooked on the ADD medicine was going to be the one to go....glad it wasn't. I LOVE that show! And I have to admit...I love the "dippin' dots" ice cream....can only get them at baseball games or amusement parks around here.

Great weekend you had :)
I think the network enjoys having us wait 2 weeks every so often for DH! I had a feeling that the nosey neighbor had something to do with that note.
