My addiction....

Hello. My name is Sherry and I'm a Christmas treeaholic. Oh dear Lord won't somebody help me? I have this weakness for Christmas trees. My obsession this year is getting a white tree. I want to decorate it like a candy cane. What is wrong with me? I see the displays at the store and my eyes glaze over....I become hypnotized by the flashing lights and haunting holiday music. I already have the one I want picked out....now I just have to find a place to put it....oh, and talk my husband into it. Well, actually he really doesn't mind, since I'm the one who does all the decorating. If I can get the white one, I will have a tree in every room....oooh, except the screened in porch. Hmmmm, maybe a live one out there? But I digress....I really have a problem with this. It's all I've been thinking about! Here is a picture of the tree I want. Isn't it lovely? Can you just imagine it with red lights and glittery ornaments? Oooooh....ahhhhhh.....

Okay, enough of that. I'm getting into the mood for the holidays. Even though the weather isn't cooperating (it's still in the upper 70's), I'm forcing myself to think winter. I bought one of those white spiral trees for the outside, to go with our lighted deer....now, before you say anything....let me explain. Our Eckard pharmacies are all being taken over by CVS, so we had some awesome coupons sent in the mail. I got a bottle of Love's Baby Soft, a bottle of Flintstones vitamins, a box of female products, a 4 pack of Maybelline eye shadow and the outdoor 3 foot tree all for....drumroll....$10.47! So, it was a good deal after all....

I have been to K-mart two times in the last 24 hours. I went yesterday to get the ink for my printer....and ended up spending well over my intended limit. I found some great clothes for wee one on the sales rack, and a few other sundries. The purpose for my trip was twofold. To get the ink, which I did, and to get a gift for wee one's birthday party, which I forgot. So, today I had to go back. I got what I needed and on the way home Betsy called and said she needed the feminine products.  Being that I was fighting the traffic and wee one was hungry, I told her I'd get them later so I could use my wonderful coupons. Fast forward an hour, and we (John, wee one and I) are at my parent's house, putting up a bathroom bar for my father. My mom asks what I got today at K-mart and I tell her. I also got two pair of jeans for wee one, since they were on sale. (And yesterday I had gotten wee one the clothes, and two dvd's that were on sale for $2 each). Well, my mom is horrified that I didn't pick something up for Betsy and says, "You mean you went to the store again and didn't get Betsy anything?" Wee one looks at her, and says in an irritated voice, "Jeez Gram, we're getting her tampax on the way home!" Out of the mouthes of babes....

I hope you get your tree.  It looks pretty and I have seen some that look really nice, but I still buy a real tree because that's what I like (and since I pick it out, haul it to my car, tie it all in, drag it out and put it up by myself) I get what I want and to hell with everyone else.  I can only handle one tree, however.  That's plenty for me...can't believe you have one in every room (although if I could find someone to do that for me, I wouldn't object).  Anyway, sounds like you got some great sales.  Good for you!  Have a great night!  Love the graphic...I caught myself singing xmas carols today...

Sherry, I wish I could introduce you to Alma.  I used to babysit her grandson.  I went to her house at Christmas time and let me tell you something.  She had a Christmas Tree in EVERY ROOM! I kid you not.  Even at the top of the stair landing was a small tree.  EVERYWHERE was total Christmas!  She had a HUGE house with 5 bedrooms and YES, each bedroom had a tree.  NOW that is a Christmas treeaholic!

Wee One is a riot!  Did you hand them to Betsy and say "Don't say I never buy you anything."  LOL
I have to say you are certifiably crazy with your Christmas tree in every room.  I'm sure it looks lovely though.

Poor betsy...no new clothe just tampax. LOL  That white tree is so expensive but ya know since you won't have a white Christmas in Florida I think it's an investment if you look at it that way. A tree in everyroom? One single tree in our livingroom is a rigamarole to put up and take down. Geeeez. LOL I bet your house is like a christmas maze.

Goodness.  how funny!  And I am going to start doing research on your shopping abilities.  this week you seem to have done VERY well, with Walgreens, Eckards/CVS and Kmart!  WOOHOO!  I tried your trick while food shopping the o ther day, and the darn thing wouldn't scan.  Agast I was when I finally said, "$1.19,"  the clerk looked annoyed and finally got it in the scanner, and it came up $1.63.  She looked at me like I had just tried to rob Fort Knox.  Silly me I honestly thought that was it though!  Ah, well. . . I won't go in her lane anymore!  Cya, Kris

Hee-hee, well at least you got Betsy SOMETHING!  As far as I go when I see the Christmas tree displays I turn the other way!!  I can't stand that they are already up and out there in the stores!  Makes my kids that much more crazy for Christmas to get here and puts the pressure on me wondering how in the heck I am going to be able to afford everything I put on layaway!  I wish December would just pass by and quickly!!!  And, a white Christmas tree?!?!?  Are you sure you aren't Italian?  LOL!
Hugs and love, Lisa

I was in Jacksonville over the weekend...one of my friends surprised me with Martina McBride/Alan Jackson tickets for an early bday present. I thought of you when I seen the sign Jacksonville! lol  Too bad I didn't know ahead of time tho.

I think you should have a tree in every room.  I would love to do that.  Unfortunately, my cats think christmas trees are climbing toys.

I am glad I am not the only one that is a treeaholic!  LOL  Last year during the after Christmas sale I bought some of those minature decorated Christmas trees because I want to eventually collect enough Christmas items so that I can decorate each room in the house very Christmasy.  After all it is my favorite holiday!
