I thought I should write and report that....I have been swimming twice in the past two days. So, you ask? Well, I find it kind of comical that I travel 400+ miles to the north to swim, when I live in Florida and have a pool. But, isn't that the way it usually is? I have to say, the water feels wonderful after a long day of sight seeing and shopping. However, it is so warm that the water is not much cooler than tepid....but I'll take it.
I am so tired tonight. My aunt went out of town for a short business trip, so we spent the day fixing things that she has not been able to do. JB had her a/c charged, fixed her closet door, and put in a new kitchen sink! He is such a good boy. We were so tired and hot after working all day which is what led to the second trip to the condo pool. Being that most of the people who live here are in their 60's-80's, we had the big, beautiful pool all to ourselves! After a nice long swim, we headed out to Sonic and had ice cream. It was a great way to end the day.
I just purchased tickets for us to take a train trip. We are going on the Great Smoky Mountain Railway and taking the "Thomas the Tank Engine" ride. Apparently Thomas is on a nationwide tour and the lifesize engine will actually be on the tracks and for a mere $16 per person, you can take a half-hour ride, AND meet Sir Topham Hat! I don't know who is more excited....wee one or JOHN! LOL.
Well, it is getting late and I need to get to bed. I'm not sure what we are doing tomorrow, but we are going to try to do some "kid-friendly" things. If the girls see one more adorable piece of mountain folk-art, they are going to go crazy!

Nice to hear from you! Glad your vacation is going well. If you want to stop by Atlanta on your way and do some more chores around here, just let me know :-) We're right off of 75! Pamela
happy to see you are having a great trip. We saw Thomas the Train when he was in Hood River it was fun but not exactly what I expected he is though worth the 16 to ride him

we were planning on paying a visit to Thams in TN. I thought the tour was over.. Have a great time and take lots of pic's!
There are plenty of kids things to do there. Santa's Land is around there somewhere. Not sure exactly where you are. Great fun for everyone!
We just got back from the Smokey Mtns. I wish we would have known about Thomas the Tank being there! It sounds like something my boys would have loved.
I just heard on the news that there was a kidnapping attempt in the Smokey Mtn area yesterday. Someone tried to abduct a 9 year old girl. So keep Weeone close! I know you will, but I just wanted to let you know about it. Have a good time.

My son would have died and went to heaven when he was 4 years old had he had the great opportunity to ride on that thomas the tank train. LOL You have a wonderful time. That's very nice having the pool all to yourselves. You should have let the girls bring their handhelds. LOL
I'm hungry what are we eating today?
Wow. You must send me photos of the REAL live Thomas & Sir "Taco-Hat," as Jonah would call him. He is so obsessed. The arches in my feel are wrecked from stepping on trains in my house all of the time!
Enjoy yourself!
