I won!!!!

Oh yes, I have hit it big in my daily laundry slots. Did you see that wad of cash? It just kept falling as I pulled out the clothes. The Snuggle gods were good to me today....I have a standing rule in my house. If you are over 13 years old and can't remember to empty your pockets, anything that is left behind in MY washer and dryer is MINE to keep. However....

As I was posting my picture Betsy came up behind me and said, "Did that come out of the dryer? I left my tip money in my pocket. How much was there?" Oh, sure, like I was going to fall for that....I asked her how much she lost....and she gave me the correct amount. *DAng (*to be read with Napoleon Dynamite inflection) I gave her a warning and then handed over the cash. I'm such a wuss. I should have at least kept a buck for my troubles....

We got our new mattress and box spring today. After I made the bed I called JB and told him that when he stopped at Lowes, to pick up a ladder so that we can actually get into the bed. Holy smokes that thing is huge! We have a new bed which was higher than our old one and I actually have to climb into it. I love it though. It looks....well....majestic. We will have to be very careful "breaking in" the new set....falling off this baby could result in broken appendages!

I decided to steam clean today. I did the computer room....which is why I am sitting on a most uncomfortable stool as I type this. The carpet is still damp, but looks pretty good. I just had to kick the dog out of here....he was christening it by rolling all around, getting fur everywhere. Freaking dog.

Well, my back has had just about all it can take sitting here. I don't know what to do tonight since my original plan was to take my winnings and go to Walgreens. Crud.

Geez, all I ever find are a few coins in the laundry.  Sonny never has anything paper money - maybe cuz I spend before he gets any? :-)

I never usually find actual bills either, unless they were mine to begin with ::sigh:: Oh well.  Too bad the owner came back to claim it! LOL
I bet you will sleep soooo good tonight.  Have fun breaking it in ;)~Melissa

All I ever get are screws, nails, carpenter's pencils and the occasional penny.  One time the washer was all messed up.  My husband ( the carpenter) took it all apart and found one of his tiny finishing nails had fallen into a major part and had stopped the whole thing up.  It is lucky for him he is so handy, or we would have been out big bucks for that to be fixed.  Traci

When I do laundry I am lucky if I find  penny.  I never find the big bucks like you did-LOL!  I love the movie Napoleon Dynamite--  I like that part where he walks up to the principal and says " So is that a new kid or what"  LOL-- too funny.  My sister has that movie memorized and she is always reciting it.
Your new bed sounds nice.

I'm a sucker too...I always wind up giving the money back too.  I also tend to find alot of jewelry in the dryer.  DD16 has a habit of taking it off (especially if she is playing her sax and has the strap around her neck and it's smashing against her necklace) and putting it in her pants pocket!  I have washed necklaces, earrings, and her HS ring which has gone through the washer and dryer at least a dozen times.  Good thing these things are sturdy suckers!

We have a really high King sized bed too and I just bought a really nice two step stool at Target (it's honey oak, not painted with ducks or Blue's Clues or anything) for $24.99.  Just put that on your side of the bed and you will have no problem getting in and out!  Or you can always take a running start!  LOL!  :)

We got our new mattress just a few months ago and I love it!  It's really high but I am still looking for the perfect stepstools and it is a bit of fun just trying to get in and out of the monster.  Woo HOO!  I know how you're feeling because we still go to bed with a smile in our new bed!  YAY!!!

You should have kept the money... you should hang a notice above all laundry baskets in the house.  I collected 7 bucks last night, myself!  Treated me and the boys to some Frozen Custard.  Hope you are well, I've been hiding out and sun bathing for the past several weeks.  It seems, though, that I've not quite tanned, but my freckles came out in full bloom.  If I didn't straighten my hair every day, I'd look like Little Orphan Annie.

Blessings to you and yours!!!!

Wow!  You did hit the mother *load*!!  I would have kept a dollar myself but I am going to be a mean momma when mine get older...lol.  J/K...maybe.  Have a great weekend!!*~*Emily

I bet that hurt giving back that money! Being disabled, I can only do half the laundry. I can put them in the washer if the basket is there where I don't have to bend, but can't take them out and put them in the dryer. Gosh darn. Anyway, my mother has a habit of putting Kleenx in her pocket and I have a habit of forgetting to check said pockets. Needless to say, after a few times of millions of tiny wet tissue particles everywhere, my mother has begun to rembember taking them out first!
