Brrrrsday....

I have my wee one home with me today. She doesn't look so good....she came home from church last night with a sore throat followed by a tummy ache followed by, well, an empty tummy. Poor thing. Then she had a nose bleed in the middle of the night, and she tossed and turned because she was "achey". Now she is sitting on the couch wrapped in a blanket watching Toy Story 2. I asked what she wanted for breakfast and she chose chicken noodle soup, and as we speak she is sipping on some hot chocolate. I had her pop a few motrin, and hopefully that will help. She says her tummy is fine now, but she is so pale. I hope she only has a 24 hour bug....

I ended up doing no sewing yesterday. I knew when I was typing about having a nice, quiet day that I shouldn't be jinxing myself. The dog has been quite itchy lately, and he is predisposed to skin infections. So, as I'm bathing him I realize he is really "flaky" and irritated, so I took him inoto the vet. $217 dollars later he has all of his shots and medicines and I am broke. I tell ya, this "pet" thing is expensive! But, he's worth it. So, after I came home from the vet it was already 12:30, so I decided to have lunch start a load of laundry, clean up a bit....before I knew it it was time for wee one and her friend to get off the bus and to start dinner. Needless to say, TODAY I'm going to sew....really, I am! Of course it is 9:43 and I'm still sitting here in my pj's drinking hot chocolate.

I still have to write out Christmas cards and such....it's the last minute stuff that gets to you, isn't it? Well, wee one is whining for me to come into my room, so I must go and see what she wants. I'm sure it's "mommy time"....
