Yeah Santa, I'm making a list too, and it's getting longer by the minute. I got teacher gifts and parent gifts today. I still have to get a work gift for dh, two grab bag gifts and the "odds and ends" left for the kiddies. Not to mention wrapping paper and stocking stuffers. I'm telling you, it never ends....but I enjoy every minute of it. I love this time of year; the hustle and bustle included. Of course, doing my shopping in shorts rather than 4 layers of clothing makes things quicker....but it's not as festive.
This morning we spent four hours between hospitals wrapping up tests for Betsy's kidneys. I'm happy to report that everything was fine, and she is free and clear of those pesky stones. She was happy with the results....and a day without school! Her dad and I took her out to lunch and she enjoyed that. Afterward, she and I went shopping to get a few more things. By the time we got home we were both exhausted....but after a Sunday spent out of the house all day....it needed to be cleaned! So, out came the pledge and windex....and the fun ensued! It was a nice afternoon....and I'm happy to say that everything is once again sparkling and shining in the JBCoupe household.
I got a new candle the other day at Marshalls. It smells so good....I'm going to burn it out before Christmas gets here! It's called Peppermint Ice and it is a Village candle. You wouldn't believe how strong the scent is....and how lasting. I really love my Yankee candles, but the Village ones seem to be stronger.I also have one in Balsam Fir which is in my bedroom, and when I go to bed at night it's like falling asleep in the middle of a pine forest. Mmmmmm.....outdoorsy....
I've gotten most of my work done for the class party and delegated a few tasks to another mom. I went to Michaels today and spent a small fortune on craft items for the kids. I think the party will be a fun one. We are having it on Friday afternoon, so I suppose I "technically" only have 3 1/2 days of freedom left until vacation begins!
Well, I had better get going. Wee one is still watching tv in my room, and it's after nine. She is going to be hard to wake up in the morning! But those "25 Days of Christmas" shows on the family channel are so danged addicting! Ho, ho, ho....

Sounds like you are having fun being Santa's little helper. Enjoy it but I have one question.......If you and the family are away from the house all day, who is there messing it up that you have to get busy and clean it up? Hugs Lanny
I wondered where your morning entry was. I always look for you in the morning seems during the holidays everyone is sooooooo off kelter. Glad your daughter has a clean bill of health. NOW I cant immagine shopping in the shorts. WE just hit with a blast of cold it was 36 and dropped to 27 today and going to have teens tonight and next few days cold. We had flurries too. Now about those candles. You see I use to be crazy about Yankeee candles and village candles we have a shop here that sells them its called the craft nook. But I just cant beat Hannas candles. They are on QVC> I love them Valerie parr hill sells them and they smell good and burn even and clean. My second fav is the Home intereror brand candles. My friend sent off an order for me and I hav three pine ones coming those also smell like a pine forest.
YAY! Sounds like so much fun! And those candles, mmmhhhhmmmm. I love them, and love the peppermint for sure. I haven't tried the 'tree' but will check it out. I would love to be sleeping on a bed of pine needles every night. Well, maybe in my dreams! cya, Kris

That candle is so purty I would hate to burn it. I bet it smells marvelous. I'm way behind ya in the christmas thing sherry. But I will catch up. I'm always in last place till the final lap and then swooooshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh I fly past everyone and win the race. Thank God Betsys tests came out good. That must be a load off everyones shoulders..including me.
Ho Ho Ho
I wish I loved christmas. I just find it stressful & awaful, & I just love getting to 1st January. I think it's partly the cost, which I don't seem to be able to control! Last minute panic buying due to no planning !
I'm glad that everything came back fine with Betsy.
Caitlin and I will be hitting the stores after she gets home today to get her a couple of presents for her friends and I need to get a few last minute things for the kids' Christmas parties. lol it never ends!

HOORAY no more stones for Betsy! Glad to hear that! And, you missed a Sunday of cleaning?! Whoa! Stop the presses, call the papers! Hee-hee! Glad it got all done though, PHEW! And you are right, if I had to shop for Christmas presents in shorts, I probably wouldn't feel right either. :)
Hugs and love, Lisa
