Brrrrrrrrrrrrr.....

In the immortal words of Glenn Frey...."The heat is * * * * ON!". Yes, we officially turned the thermostat from air to heat last night. As we speak we are a frosty 25 degrees. If only there were rain in the forecast we could have had a flurry or two. But, alas, we are only scheduled for sunny, blue skies. I need to get out and get some logs for the fireplace. I love a toasty fire in the winter time. Wee one always wants to roast marshmallows....maybe I should go outside and get some sticks whilst I'm at it....

I only have a few online gifts to order, then I am officially done. Whew! I spread everything out over my bed yesterday to peruse my loot. It's amazing how hundreds of dollars worth of things can look like a small pile of nothing. But, it is the thought that counts, it's the giving not the receiving, it's the spirit of Christmas, (pick a cliche)....

I think today I will spend sewing. I was gone all day yesterday and it will be nice to be able to just sit and relax. I will make some coffee and just zone out to the hum of my sewing machine. Yeah, that sounds gooooood. I left yesterday morning to have my cavity filled (and it went wonderfully....didn't even feel the injection!), from there I went to finish my shopping. Hit 4 stores, came home for an hour during which I organized all gifts and re-hid them, did bills, ate a piece of cold pizza and then headed out the door to the bus stop where....I picked up Wee one, went directly to the high school and got Betsy, then it was off to the post office, bank and my mom's house to drop of the coffee that she likes and was on sale....back home to start dinner, serve dinner and sit down to do a quick load of sewing that dh ever-so-sweetly told me they needed last minute....I think I'm getting a good old-fashioned cold....the kind where you sneeze all the time. It was driving me NUTS last night. I finally took some benadryl and then prayed I wouldn't fall asleep before I was finished. Luckily, it began to affect me minutes after I was done....then I went to bed, slept through my tv show, and didn't wake up till my alarm this morning....I barely remember John kissing me goodbye this morning.

Okay, it's time to get wee one up and running....I hope everyone has a mahhhhhhvelous day!

Woweee!  Sounds like a busy and productive day you had there!  I hope you enjoy (and get to relax) with those wonderful sewing sounds today!  Aren't they totally therapeutic?!  We also roasted Marshmallow last night on the fire,  I had to go buy a stick that was five bucks, as we couldn't find our camping roasters (aahhh $.89 at Cabela's in the good ol' summertime!)  The kids were happy though.    The things we do. . . Well on this cold you would not be doing that in hte parking lot.  We actully did get some flurries and it was on the cars and grass edges yesterday. It was 16 here this morning. I bet your guys air and heat does not know what to do switching back and forth. Here we turn it on and the heat does not go off till we shut it all down for a while in the spring then come warm weather the air stays on then it goes off for a about a month again in the fall till the heat comes on. so each year twice a  year the unit is shut down. Whooppeeeeeee Well I found that seems like the more you spend the less gifts you have!!!!! thats weird. I guess its bigger gifts or more expensive so there are less . Rather than a bunch of 25 dollar gifts you end up getting a 400 acustic guitar!!!!!!!! See how that works. The older they get the more it is like that seems. But this morn sun is out and it looks decieving though its stlll in the teens. We use the breathing machine that is like a facial you sit and breath into it fifiteen minutes in the morn and at night then we use vaporizers in thehouse wth mentholatum and so far that had kept us out of the drs office for five years with some herbal help.  Lori

We've had to put our heat on too...my computer is now next to the sliding glass door in the family room and when I open the door to let the dogs out I freeze. Most times I'm sitting here with a blanket around me. But i'm not complaining!!
