The world lost a gentle soul today....and my family lost one of our own. My sweet Percy could not hold out any longer, and we let him go. I know he was greeted at the gates by my Dad, calling to him, waiting to give him a good scratch. I was fortunate enough to be with him when he left this world....I can not tell you how my heart is breaking right now. I miss you my Purdle Wurdle the Turtle....no one will ever take your place in my heart....you were and always will be a part of our family and a part of our hearts....forever.

Such a beautiful tribute. He was the cutest doggy ever! I love this picture of him so happy and sweet. I bet this is just how he is looking in heaven right now. You did the best thing for him. you love him very much and he loved you like his mommy. And that's what you were to him. Up in the middle of the night giving him baths after he had seizures taking such good good care of him. He's alright now. He's all better! Love you!

This is twice I have cried today . this morning when you told me and now. It brings back memories of SOoner that was such a hard day. They look at you with such knowing eyes. OH MY LORD the pain we feel and loss. some dont undertstand this is a child to us. a very special fur baby child to us. NO one has taken sooners place (Pepper tried to dig him up for a long time he really was upset) but Sasha came a month or two after we saw her at petsmart and strange as it is sooners gentile eyes and soulful looks are in her eyes. she does some strange things that are so like him. she looks nothing like him except in those eyes. I am sure GOD has a nother fur baby out there that needs you taht Percy would love you to rescuse and carry on. He was a helper and he would want you to shower the love you gave him on a other needy animal. you know from the hurricane there are many pets who need someone. I know it may take a bit of time and it wont repalce PErcy at all.but its a way to carry on the goodhe brought to you. what a sweet face. GOSH Sherry makes me sit here bawling. No words can make it better. I wish I had been there with you to go with you at that time. LOVE an dhugs sherry
OH SHerry I just had to write again. Pepper is on the bed he sees me crying tears rolling like a baby and he comes over puts his head in my lap as if to say he knows and its okay.
I'm sooo sorry for your loss. I had to put down my baby girl, Noelle. She was my top winning show dog. She was my delight. I still miss her. The stories she would tell. I know how you feel and how you are grieving. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

I am sooo sorry to hear about Percy. I have been reading your journal since March and there have been so many entries where you talk about him. So when I found out just now that he is gone, my mouth dropped open and my heart sank. I could just cry right now. I know he is better off and the way he was living wasnt any kind of life, but it is still so heartbreaking. I lost my dog Mindy a few years ago to old age. (she was a pekingnese). I can still see her big brown eyes looking up at me to this day. Mindy use to follow me everywhere I went. I miss her sooo much. People kept telling me I should get another"Mindy" and I know one day I will, but just not yet. Pets really are a part of our family and when we loose them it is devasting. I know Mindy is now is Heaven with my baby boy Daniel( I lost them both in the same year) and they are together and I cant wait until I can see them both again one day. I know there arent any words that is going to make you feel better right now so I will keep you and your family in my thoughts and prayers.

i AM very sorry that you have lost the experience of being with Percy. We all come to know and love him through your journal. I have never known an animal to get as much good love and good carring as you gave Percy.
Maybe God had a special project that he needed done ?? And only a good dog like Percy would be able to do it ?? Maybe thats why he called him home ??
So sorry to hear of your loss.. I know all too well how the loss of a very loved pet feels.. No other pet will ever replace him for he will always hold a special place in your heart, but there will be more out there that can use your love and devotion... Gail
