Tuesday....original, huh?

We are feeling some of the effects from the hurricaine today. Rainy and wet....but nothing like what those poor people that took the direct hit are dealing with. My prayers are with them....such a horrible thing to have to go through. I can't even imagine leaving my home, only to come back to a pile of rubble. God bless them....

Tonight Betsy is going to WWE Smackdown....she is so excited. Ever since she was a little girl, she has watched it. She and her best friend always said that someday they would go....they even wanted to be tag-team wrestlers! LOL....I'm sure she will come home with a paycheck's worth of souveniers. Of course, it won't be the same without the Rock....but tonight she will get to see the Undertaker and Eddie Gurrero....childhood favorites.

Wee one is swimming at a friend's house right now....which means I am sitting here enjoying utter peace and quiet! I'm paying bills, which is not fun, but at least no one is yelling about not being able to find something, and the tv isn't blaring. DH is in the pool, cooling down from trimming the bushes in the front yard, and dinner is cooking in the oven.  Too bad it's meatloaf....ick. But, the rest of the crew likes it. I, on the other hand, will be enjoying a turkey sandwich. Mmmm....I'll "gobble" it up....get it?

Anyhoo....I filled up my gas tank today. $43 freaking dollars! And I know it will be on empty again before too long, being that I have to take and pick up wee one from school every day. Today because of traffic, I had to sit with the engine on for 30 minutes waiting to pick her up. You know how much gas that burns? The line was alllll the way around the school. Betsy doesn't work again until Thursday, which is good....although I made her give me $10 towards gas today. I am starting to wish John would have kept his motorcycle. A fill up was under $10 with that thing and lasted a long time.

Okay, I've put off these bills long enough. I'm going to get back to giving away my money....

Your entry reminded me it was only tuesday, for some reason I thought it was wednesday... ugh. LOL
I can't wait to hear if Betsy had a good time at the wrestling.  I can't help but laugh if it's on at someone elses house now, but when I was younger, I loved it! ~Melissa

hope your daughter has a good time at the WWE Smackdown.

Its just awful about gas prices and we live in a small town; hardly any rush hour traffic, no long lines. I can't imagine sitting in traffic for thirty minutes! I would go ballistic (no patience here)

Funny, must be bill day.  I was paying my bills just a moment ago myself!  (Got any extra money for me?  My account is getting low! LOL)

We start school one week from today and then the scheduling insanity begins.  Since DD17 is still working on that parallel parking, I'm going to have to start out doing all of the back and forth driving to the high school.  Hopefully she'll get it down soon and will pass next time around.  Until then, my schedule is going to be complete insanity...just like yours!

Enjoy. Hope you have some dough left after the bills!

I should definitely have me a $$ down the toilet graphic :).  No days left to Christmas update today?  Gas prices are through the roof.

What great graphics!!!!  That toilet and money is so cute!  Only the real deal is awful.  I hate bill pay days.  I have a small pile to get busy with too.  I need to hurry up and get rich.  Hugs,
Lisa

I am happy we only have one vehicle now that the gas prices are going to just rise and rise, especially because of the hurricane!  A hybrid car is looking pretty darned good about now isn't it?!  Bet they raised the prices on those too!  That's so funny that Betsy loves WWE!!  Todd loves wrestling too, and I always say I hate it, but when he has it on I find myself standing there watching it (but at least I am not sitting down and watching it.  LOL!).  I have always loved the Undertaker too!
Hugs and love,
Lisa

I stopped all that waiting/idling when picking up my daughter by observing what time all the cars were nearly gone....so now, I pick my daughter up 15 minutes after the last bell. She goes to her locker, takes her time, and meets me at the pick-up spot where I drive right in, pick her up and then we're right out again! No way will I sit there for half-hour, 45 minutes waiting in the heat or in the idling car!!

I had to pay bills too. But I think I must be the only person in the world that actually likes to pay bills! I think it is because I can look around and see people that haven't got enough money to pay their bills. It makes me so thankful that I am able to do so. But I know it makes me weird that I like to pay 'em!

I don't like meatloaf either. EEWWW. Actually, I don't eat pork or beef. Just poultry and fish. My husband loves to take meatloaf sandwhiches for his lunch though.

I hope Betsy liked Smackdown. I bet she had a blast!

LOL I hope betsy had a great time..that is too cute. And yes it is so sad about whats going on in our country right now. Sorry so late commenting to this. I suck
