Ahhhh, you just have to love these journals and their ever present glitches. For some reason, my entire list of other journals is gone. The other day I couldn't get to my journal, and when I looked for it in the search bar, it said I didn't exist. Gretchen and other AIM users can't seem to leave comments and others have complained of missing entries. This is what we pay the big bucks for? LOL....I shouldn't talk, as I am still paying for it....(the $4.95 plan anyway).
It is 9:33 and I have already been to the bus stop, taken wee one to school, and gone shopping at two grocery stores. I am on top of things, baby! Of course, right now I'm sitting here getting sleepier by the minute. I need to get up and start working. I have a ton of laundry/ironing/sewing/cleaning to do. I swear, if my life gets any more interesting I'm going to burst!
Did I mention my husband's birthday is on Friday? He will be turning the big 4-0. I can't believe it. When we met I was 17 and he was 21. Where has the time gone? I've been with a man who has gone from shaggy to bald in less than 20....lol. Of course, he's been with a woman who has gone from shapely to schlumpy in the same time frame. I am planning a weekend get away to Savannah for his gift. He has wanted to go to a museum that is located there for a long time, so I figured why not make a weekend out of it. (That way at least I get something out of the deal! lol)
And on his birthday he gets the one thing that he waits for all year. Care to guess what it is? It's pretty hot....and crispy. I make him his favorite dinner....fried pork chops. The one meal I absolutely despise....both making and eating! I'm not a pork lover. However, he counts on this dinner every year. Actually, I make it for him on Father's day too. So on Friday I will go out and buy all the fixins for his southern meal. Fried okra and "greens" will be on the menu as well. And for dessert? An atomic cake. Yellow cake with layers of strawberries, bananas and real whipped cream. The new Disney movie "Valiant" opens on Friday as well, and I think we will take him to see it. It has to do with flying, which will fit nicely with the "aviation" theme to his birthday. (It's an aviation museum that he wants to go to).
Okay, I've sat here long enough....and now the phone is ringing. My mother knows just when to call!

It was hubby's birthday yesterday.. and I didn't do as well as you you're doing in the preparation department.. We might end up in Savannah this coming weekend too!

I love fried pork chops. I could eat them every day with applesauce. I think it's so cute that you make his favorite on his birthda. I have over done all my hubs favorites so much that when I cook them it's no big deal.
Sounds like you're really going to spoil that lucky husband of yours! I agree with the whole time flying concept - the older I get, the quicker it seems to fly! On the subject of AOL and the many screw-ups going on at the moment, they need a rocket up their backsides. I'd phone to complain (I'm old fashioned that way) only the technical help for the UK is based in India(!) and I can never understand a word they are saying and vice-versa, so I know it would be a waste of time and I'd end up pulling my hair out! By the way, the comment you left in my journal had me laughing! Tillyx

Yes journals was crazy this morning and get htis. My new entry was gone. Everything after aug 9 was gone. So I put in a duplicate entry and bam its gone and now thatIm back from shopping my original one is back. WELL happy b day to your hubby. I bet he gets some nookie surprise too this weekend. Yup mine has gone from long hair to bald hes said I did it to him LOL
Seems journals and AOL is always messing up. I swore this morning that aol was gone! LOL I was getting rid of it! Because my journal was messed up and entries were missing, however when I came back this afternoon, it was all there. Strange.

I have been reading that AOL is screwing around with journals too. I don't go to my own, so I have no clue if my entries are still there. Could be why I only received a few comments though the past few days. I only pay the $4.95 now too, so I don't complain too much. Aren't you getting your hair done today? Or was that yesterday? Geez, I am so out of touch! I try to keep up on journals and next thing you know I am days behind!! What a great dinner and dessert you make hubby for his bday!! Whatever makes them happy right? My hubby is turning 40 also this year, in November. Not sure what he wants though. Who am I kidding?!? I know EXACTLY what he wants! LOL!

Time sure does fly by...I've known Ben almost 16 years now and through all of the ups and downs I wouldn't trade any of it....well maybe bypass those deployments! lol
