Pictures!!!!

This morning Betsy had a mandatory meeting at work and I ::gulp:: let her take the car on her own! She did a great job, and afterward stopped at my mom's and picked up my sister. They took my cameras in to be processed....and chose to have them done in an hour. I told Betsy I would have to take out a loan just to pay for developing and the fact that I wanted cd's! I have never done the one hour thing before....but now I'm glad she did that. The pics turned out great....and I didn't break the bank.

My favorites? Oh, you know they are the ones of Thomas the Tank Engine. My girls grew up with him....and we still love seeing him on tv. But, the original ones....when it was Shining Time Station. Ringo Starr was Mr. Conductor along with the station master Stacey Jones and engineer Billy Twofeathers. Then there was Schemer who owned the arcade with the Juke Box Band....oh, those were the days! I have to tell you....when I first got a glimpse of Thomas coming through town, and all those little kids smiling and laughing when they saw him....I teared up a bit. It was just so sweet and innocent. I miss having that with my girls. Of course, I was brought back to reality when I looked lovingly at Betsy, with tears in my eyes and she said, "Oh brother....you are nuts mom!" LOL....Wee one wasn't quite as harsh. She said, "That's cool....can we get some cotton candy over there?" Sigh....

Anyhoo, enjoy the pics!

oh my gosh....i'm not sure how I ever even began reading your stuff, the other day.  But today. after a long day at Grandma & Grandpa's with my two little boys.  And then an hour drive home (in rush hour) listening to "The Wheels On The Bus Go Round and Round...I sit down and check my e-mail.  I am still in the Thomas the Train stage here and really enjoyed your pics.  I also had a good laugh at the part with you having tears in your eyes.  I can sometimes be caught at a parade with tears in my eyes.  How will I ever make it when my boys reach their teen years?? LOL

Aaron would love to see Thomas the Train!!  We still read that book every now and then and have one of the movies too.  Pictures are awesome-- nice to see mountains in the distance!  Looks like you had a wonderful vacation!!  That would make me nervous too letting my teen driver take the car!  Baby steps right!  Good job... hope the store where she works is close by!  Hugs,
Lisa

I tear up every time we go to a ball game (doesn't matter, baseball, basketball, football...) when they play the National Anthem, my daughter does the same thing, "Get a grip, Mom"...I try to explain to her about how lucky she is to be in a free country, soldiers that died, blah blah blah....But at her age, I probably would have been the same way!
