Holy smokes, I just realized I haven't written in here since Monday....and I haven't been doing anything interesting either. I guess I'm just lazy....
I'm so mad about Betsy's job. I tell ya, she has the boss from hell. I just read an e-mail from her, telling Betsy she had done a cake order wrong, and how the man was upset, yadda yadda yadda....and Betsy didn't even work that day! She is going on and on about how she needs to pay more attention, so I respond to the e-mail (as Betsy) and say, "If you check the schedule, you will see that I didn't work on ____." LOL....I'm telling you, this woman picks on her like there is no tomorrow. Don't get me wrong, if Betsy did something wrong, I fully expect her to take the blame and try harder to fix it, however, when she is getting blamed for things that happen when she isn't even there???? I don't think so. ::end rant::
Wee one has had two huge tests this week, and another one today. We have been studying every night for at least two hours. I tell ya, I should just homeschool. Really. It would probably be less work that what I do to subsidize the "teaching" she gets now. Here's hoping she did well....she was very confident about the science, but nervous about social studies. I, however, can tell you what distillation is, as well as why the early settlers were angry with the British King! LOL....
I am going grocery shopping in just a bit. I was planning on going straight from dropping wee one off, in order to save gas, however, I wasn't ready. Somehow I got off track this morning, so I had to come home. I don't have my list ready either. I have some of it done, but I have to go through the sale papers. Hmmmm, let's see....a big 10 for 10 sale is going on....10 containers of sour cream? That's a lot of baked potatoes....okay, here's one for Julie....10 packages of Snoopy fruit snacks for $10. Want me to Fed-ex them to you? LOL....
Well, since my train of thought had totally left the station, I supposeI should go. I shall report back with all of my great deals....I'll just bet you can't wait!
Oh, and here's another annoying little reminder from yours truly....only 120 shopping days left! I don't know what is wrong with me....but I'm in a Christmas mood! LOL....

Arrggh! Christmas? I'm still struggling to get through the summer - but you're right, it won't be long now before the baubles and tinsel start dominating the supermarket. As far as your shopping goes, I can't wait to see what deals you take advantage of - the possibilities are endless! Sounds like you'll need a truck to get it all home!

I love the 10 for $10 sales. At my local store, we can mix up all the 10 for $10 items. It doesn't have to be all the same 10 items.
Hope Wee One does great on her tests. My son had a pop quiz yesterday. He aced it though. So he was excited about that.
Happy shopping...

DO YOU REALLY NEED 10 CARTONS OF SOUR CREAM ?WHY?AND WHY WERE YOU CROSS WITH OUR KING?POOR BETSY IS REALLY GETTING A LESSON ABOUT THE BIG BAD WORLD OF (ADULTS), I DONT BLAME YOU RESPONDING TO THE BOSSES E-MAIL DID YOU GET A REPLY?SHE SHOULD BE EATING PIE THE HUMBLE STUFF,HOW IS YOU MUM DOING GIVE HER MY LOVE ,I MISS HER JAN X
well my mood stinks things just keep getting worse for me. Todd got his notice yesterday and it was a dirty deal. On top of my mom told she is now taking on a part time job. shes getting alzhiemers and that is really not going to help her. Anyway IM so sorry about Betsy. Better remind her what you did so if she goest to work she can have that tid bit in her m ind so she doesnt say I did not email you LOL I hate when things like that happen wiat till you hear about Todds job Him and Betsy ought to start a club!!!!!!!!! man I cant even think of grocery shopping. I have not slept and IM just plain old worn out. You know we have a lot of people join homeschooling when the find out they can do the work becuase they can research and find the answers. they dont have to have a degree and know it all!!!!!! Its so hard they said when the kids have to come home and do work at night. They might as well do it during the day. Homeschooling has so many activiities and your craitivity is not controlled and you have a variety of friends from all ages and we do field trips and many functions together. Its really how much a child blossoms when the are not infuenced daily by others and they can really find themselves. NO its not for everyone. But many like me find that though we thought we could not do it we can and did. Hey we have a graduation ceremony and party. We dont miss a thing. LOL
I really hope Betsy is still considering getting another job. She's wasting her time dealing with such people. Why not get a job working for someone she can use for a mentor, an inspiration or just the experience? Having to deal with such difficult people at an ice cream shop only makes sense, if it's a necessity and there are no options, in my opinion.
Hey, hybernation is healthy after a long busy fun-filled summer:-) Enjoy it! Michelle-The Pink-Cotton-Candy-Haired Mama
I can't believe it's so close to Christmas. Woo hoo! Sorry, I love that holiday! But yikes, shopping.
I can't go shopping without my list, either...my mind goes blank and I buy a ton of snacks..lol! that is awesome about you helping your kids with their work...I need to devote more time to it this year for sure..maybe cut my hours at work.. my 13 year old is not a high acheiver..lol! good for you answering that E-mail and telling the lady..hey moron..check the schedule.. I am not invisible, and I wasn't there that day. I don't know how you contain yourself...lol!
Robyn :)
Hi, I've been reading your journal for almost a year (which is when I discovered them), but I haven't commented. I look forward to your entries...they are always so real, and usually at some point I find myself either smiling or laughing, (always a good thing), although 120 shopping days 'till Christmas made me cringe :)Please stop by my journal if you get the chance, it's new...
Touché on sticking up for Betsy...she needed a hand, for sure. This nitwit she works under is showing what life under inept management is all about. Glad Betsy has you in her corner.
Jimmy
PS thanks for the panic attack! Christmas is ZOOMING towards us, LOL
Only 120 days left?!!! LOL
Ugh, Betsy's employers seem like huge morons. It's good that she likes her job, but stinks she has to deal with them.
I hear ya on the homework. I feel like I'm the one teaching them! They have no idea what they're doing. It's stressful for sure. ~Melissa
Id go for the homeschooling thing. I love it. Its hard and can be pricey but the benefits are extremely wonderful. The great part about being the teacher is you have all the answers :) I prefer it rather than sending my kids to school where they are in a class 30 to 1 and they learn at their own pace rather than someone elses.
Ohhh no that short of time! Im sooooo not near ready for xmas yet!
Hi! My name is Amanda. I am totally hooked on your journal. I would be very upset if my daughter was being treated the way her boss is treating her. I know in California where I used to live to work and be in high school you could only work so many hours and turn in a slip. Maybe calling the school they will be able to point you in a direction to be able to help defend your daughter. No one should be treated like that. How sad that this is her early experiences with the job field. The boss should not put blame on the wrong individuals. Especially when it is so clear that Betsy wasn't the one who was wrong, she wasn't even there. I really hope that things turn out better for her and she is able to help her boss or get her help. Our prayers are with you. Hope wee one did well on her test.
Hi Sherry,
I finally made it around to journals today... it's a miracle! I swear I said the same thing tonight about homeschooling to my husband. I have so much homework they should be paying me $30K a year to do all this work and teaching! I am so dang totally aggravated! Hugs,
Lisa
Ahhhh Christmas!!?? Let me get through August first, lol
That boss of Betsy's needs to be gone!
I went shopping for groceries yesterday and of course forgot my list <gasp> but managed to actually get everything we need....I think, lol
Gretchen
I dont know what is the matter with you either Sherry, thinking of Christmas. Jeesh,I dont wanna know that. Let me know when it 2 weeks before ok?LOL And Betsy's boss is an ass. I hope she is looking for another job. I bet you wanna just go to that ice cream place and get in her face for being such a bi****.I know it would take everything I have in me not to go there.LOL. I hope wee one does great on her tests. Have a great day.KIM
