Watching and Waiting....

I don't know why, but I find myself watching and waiting as the reports come in about the Pope. I'm not Catholic, but I respect this man of God, who gave his entire life to his Heavenly Father. The good that he has done transcends all religions; one doesn't have to be Catholic to know the power and compassion of this man.  I've been watching as the news broadcasts people of different faiths, from countries all around the world, praying for him.  I am in awe of the sheer magnitude of respect and love that is pouring out of a world that seems to be so lost and far from God.

I pray for peace for the Pope. That his passing will be swift, and without pain. I pray for strength for the church and it's members.  I thank God that so many were blessed and touched by this man's life here on earth....

Precious in the sight of the LORD [is] the death of his saints.
Psalms 116:15

YOu know I find it very strange that he lapsed after TErry. I dont kno w why. But anyway yes I think all human life deserves respect and honor. esepcially those who tried to do good and many good works. I pray peaceful leaving as he leaves this world.

I've found myself praying for him too - it's only humane.  I'm not catholic, I don't think we need to be catholic to have compassion for another.

Me too! I'm catholic but haven't been to church since 1998. Except for a reason here and there to drop something off. I watched the whole mass in the middle of the night/this morning. And it's making me want to go back to church.

amen, the Pope was a wonderful ,extraordinary man. He touched many lives, including mine and I'm not Catholic either.
Maybe this will bring all of us all over the world alittle closer together.
May he rest in peace....
