Guess what I bought today? LOL....we are out of tp again! I have got to stop tp-ing peoples houses in my spare time....actually, I never buy kleenex, and we have all had colds. So....it was off to the store to get toilet paper. So why is it that my total bill was $61? Possibly because I took my children with me. Wee one just had to have the pink "skip-it" with retractable ribbon and Betsy....well, actually, she spent her own money. So, I suppose the guilt of extra spending falls squarely on my shoulders. Wait! John did call me to ask me to pick up some duct tape. Yeah....that's what did it!
It is so beautiful out today. I mean beautiful....there is a slight breeze, and the temp isn't quite 65. It's sunny and the skies are a deep blue. I can only imagine how gorgeous it is at the beach today! I bought some bird seed as my cardinal family is back. I need a stand to put the food holder on though. I need to get to Big Lots and see what they have. I just love that store....
I'm also trying to decide on what type of rock to get to go around the house. Dh has the trailor put together and wants to get it this week. I like the red rock....but it's so freaking expensive. I just don't want the plain river rock. We had that before. It is fine, but I want something with color. Has anyone seen that rubber, colored rock? Guaranteed not to rot or blow away....very weird. And it comes in blue! Of course, blue wouldn't work here, but green would. Hmmmmm, maybe I should do the entire yard in green! That would take care of trying to grow this freaking St. Augustine grass. Dh suggested cementing the entire yard and putting green dye in the mix. I told him he will be enjoying it ALONE if he decided to do that. What a whacko! LOL.
Well, I do believe that he is ready to whisk me away for a Sunday drive. He wants to look at houses. I don't know if I want to move or not. I'm used to this house, and I do like it. I love our back yard being that no one is behind us....although that could change as the property that backs up to us is for sale. Although it is not wide enough for a subdivision, if someone thought they could get away with building four houses and making some money; they will. It's crazy down here! The lot is 2.5 acres with a tiny old house and they want $4k! Amazing. They will get it too. Probably $380.
Alright, I'm outta here....have a lovely Sunday!

I'm with Debbie, I love your house too. But I think you could make any house even a dump look that good. You have a gift for decorating and making a house a home. I thought your yard was finished? It looked done last year?
YUP Next time You clean my trees up girl!!!!!!!!!!!! keep your TP to yourself. LOL I have to admit duct tape is pretty expensive LOL TEll hubby to buy his own next time LOL I have hte red rock and it covers well and never needs to be replaced at all. I hear the rubber stuff smells some in heat and does look starnge after a while I have not heard from any close friends though. Yeah I got the red rock but it matches our brick so well!!!!!!!! Hey I at times would like fake carpet grass all over the yard BUT no concrete LOL ah a nice sunday drive. WE WIll be fixing our fence some jerk kid kicked our fance down the stockade in back!!!!!!!! I wish spring break never came. I wish kids stayed in school all day sometimes!!!!!!!!! they have run a rut thru the neighbors yard with thier bikes though repeated asked not to!!!!!!!!!! Some kids have no respect. I know yours would never do that but man so many dont have decent parents. Hope you have a wonderful sunday drive.
I am not a great lover of moving house so I would stay put if I was you, especially if you like your house. I think the only advantage of moving house, is a good clear out, lots of things that you haven't used for years is binned. I am secretly doing that all the time in my house but have to do it slow in case Mick misses any of his grandad cardigans.lol. Hope you had a lovely drive out.........Jules xxxxxx

Cement with green color?! Hee-hee! Too funny! But, leave it to a man to think of something like that! Hope your decision on which rocks to buy is finally over. Decisions decisions! LOL!
Hugs and love, Lisa
$4k? Is that a typo? In upstate NY, a lot size with no structure on would easily go for 40k! $4k is really a bargain! As for your tp problem, go buy some kleenex for goodness sake. It will save you a lot of unnessesary trips to the bathroom, not to mention save you some embarrasment if you had to blow your nose in public and pulled out a wad of tp; watching it unravel! Ha! Ha!
OOooo!!! I went to Big Lots today too!! : )
Sounds like gorgeous weather!! Enjoy it for me k?
*hugs*
Today I went to the market for some lettuce - that's all. YET, I walked away from the store having spent $68.00! HOW did that happen?

Why is it that when we run to store for one thing and end up spending alot of money.I usually end up forgetting to get what I went there for in the first place.LOL.I have never heard of this rock your talking about.Sounds kinda cool though.I hope you had a great Sunday drive,KIM
I went grocery shopping yesterday with a "short" list. My mistake was bringing the daughters and husband! We spent $177.00! What the heck! I hate running out of TP so bad that I buy the biggest pack they have at the store and when it's 1/2 gone I buy another. My 17y/o will not push around the buggy with that big pack of TP in it. She thinks someone she knows might see her and think our family poops alot! She is such a joy. Have a great week! .:Barbara:.
