As you can see from the above pictures....I finally got my patio set. I ended up getting it at Target, and I have to say although it wasn't the exact set I wanted, it is really nice. My mom and I found it yesterday whilst spending the day shopping. After asking the sales associate if they had more than one set, I called dh and asked him to stop and pick it up on the way home, since he is the one with the truck. Of course he immediately says, "How bout if I just come home and get you and we go together?" Dear Lord I do not know how this man functions when I am not near him! Sheesh!
In any case, it worked out well because I ended up getting dinner out of the deal. Wee one, dh and I took off for the store then Applebee's (or as I like to say "Crapplebee's", but hey, I didn't have to cook!). When we got home I immediately had to leave to pick up Betsy from the school.
Boy, when we were kids and went on field trips, we rode in a bus. A school bus. The same freaking bus we rode to and from school in every day, nothing fancy. Betsy, however, rode in luxury. It was a gorgeous HUGE white travel bus....like the kind you'd expect to see a music star ride in. I asked her if there was a bathroom on the bus and she said yes. Of course, she didn't check it out. I guess things like that just don't interest teenagers! LOL. She said that the Holy Land experience was "awesome". About the Holy Land Experience Here is a link to their site, if you are interested. She said that the theatrical reinactments and playlets were wonderful, and that the man who portrayed Jesus made you feel like you were truly in His presence. She said that she felt "totally connected to God." I am "totally thrilled" she went! All of her friends had a great time too. And to top it all off....the restaurant called! Although, at this point, we are not sure what it is about because we weren't home and when she called back, the assistant manager wasn't there. However, the manager told her that it was most likely about employment. She is so excited. The guy told her that he would not call if she didn't get the job....so we are keeping our fingers crossed!
I can't believe it is Friday again. It seems like the week just flew by. And, of course, the kids only have 4 weeks of school left. I can't believe wee one only has one more year in elementary school. It really is amazing how quickly time flies.
Okay, time for me to get off my arse and clean up the rest of this house. Have a great Friday everyone!

I love it..looks great!
I have a "plicker" set from Target also. I love it and will hopefully get to use it more in our new house. We will have both a beautiful deck off the kitchen that connects to the master bedroom AND a patio as well. In fact, I may have to go buy some more outdoor furniture.
Oh I forgot to ask, was this field trip with school? Does Betsy go to a private school? It is just interesting to me that they went to a religious place on a field trip. There would be major lawsuits in CA if a public school ever did that here.
WOW Girl do you have a sunroom???????????????? I want one so bad. I love your view. I really love it. I want to come sit and have tea with you. GIRL!!!!!!!!!! Ibet taht was great for Betsy. I m so glad she enjoyed it. Its kind of neat the school let them do that. A public school anyway. Man yours is leaving elementary and mine is graduating May 6th. My baby is!!!!!!!!!!! LORD where has the time gone???????? I tell you it has flown.
That set is absolutely gorgeous. Oh it's so quaint. I was at a garden store yesterday that sells flowers and what not and there was a wicker set for sale there with just one chair, no cusions and it was $1,800 bucks. And yours blowssssssssss it away. I love your taste.
What's wrong with applebees? I love their food. LOL Well, I never get to eat out...not ever so when I go to either apple bees or redlobster I get so freakin' excited.

Your patio set looks great, and so does the view.I'm working on getting a bar set for the deck.I'm glad Betsy enjoyed the field trip,I'll check out the link.Hope she got the job.Good luck to her.KIM
Patio set looks great! I wondered same thing as mom23nca -- I thought wee one went to a public school? I would be dumbfounded if a public school went on a Holy Land trip to see a Jesus enactment -- well, here they wouldn't, cuz they'd be sued the next day.
Yay! The new patio set is finally here!! :-) It looks SO AWESOME! It's also VERY you. lol
I'm glad that Betsy was so touched by the field trip she went on. Your children have such loving hearts that are so open to learning and letting even more love in. That is so great.
