Strep throat! That didn't even cross my mind....I mean, she had a low fever, sore throat and her ear was popping....but she has had that before and all I get is, "It's a virus. Take Motrin for the pain." I should have known something was up when the medical assistant came in before asking any questions and swabbed her throat. When the doc arrived she said that they were having a run on strep and wee one tested positive. Then she told her no school tomorrow....
You should have seen wee one's eyes....they were huge. The doc asked what was going on at school, and we had to explain about the manditory safety-patrol meeting tomorrow night. She said she wanted her to have 24 hours worth of antibiotics in her before she went to school, so the 7:00 meeting will be okay. Whew....
So now, she is back on her couch in my room, coloring, all covered up. She says she is cold....I think the fever is coming back. I gave her the first two pills of the z-pack....and now I'm off to get her some motrin. Evening all!

Awww, poor baby. She'll feel much better in the morning after the antibiotics kick in.

Sounds like you enjoy taking care of your Wee One when she's sick. I feel the same way about my little ones. There is something just so cozy and warm about making them feel better when they're miserable.

Poor Wee One!! Have you ever noticed that when someone has strep throat they never really complain about their throat? And when your throat is on FIRE, it's never strep! I don't get it! I hope she feels better soon!!!! Have fun at the Safety Patrol meeting tonight! I'm on Patrol, I'm on Patrol! :)
