We have a neighborhood cat that has adopted us as a second family. Her name is Cynthia and she sits and waits for us to come home. As soon as we drive by, she follows, and pretty much moves in....she is John's constant companion whilst he is working in the garage, and she loves visiting me early in the morning when I take wee one to the bus stop. If I weren't allergic to cats....I might decide to have one. I have to admit, of all the cats I've known, this one is my favorite. I even buy her treats at the grocery store, or will open a can of tuna just for her. I suppose I'm a softie at heart.
This probably isn't going to be such a good entry, as I am half writing and half listening to the Jane Pauley talk show about kids and OCD. It's interesting hearing these teens talking about their habits and quirks, and comparing them to what I see in wee one.
Anyway....yesterday we all went to church, then to Sunday dinner at Cracker Barrel. It was good except for John's pork chop....which looked and tasted like shoe leather. I was expecting a thick, grilled chop, and what he got was one of those thin little breakfast chops (off of the lunch menu, mind you). When the waitress asked how everything was I told her it was great except for his piece of leather. Her smile actually froze on her face and I think she thought I was going to yell at her! LOL....she apologized, yet didn't mention taking it off the bill. Now, if it had been bigger than a slice of bread, or thicker than one, I may not have said anything....but I wasn't going to pay for what he got. So....when the cashier asked how it was I said, "Everything was great except for my husband's pork chop." He said, "He didn't like it?" and I said, "Well, if he were a fan of shoe leather he may have." Needless to say his dinner was taken of the bill. John was so embarassed he wouldn't even stand next to me. I told him, why in the world should we pay for something that wasn't any good? Sheesh....what a nerd! LOL.
Okay, I need to get going here. I have already COMPLETELY cleaned out my pantry, fridge and freezer....so now it's off to the bedrooms....yippee!

Kitties are fun, I love their attitude. I love Cracker Barrel, we actually got one here, and we don't have an interstate anywhere nearby... they say it's a first. I usually get breakfast. Well, I hope you have a lovely Floridian day, I'll be cleaning and working in the yard, before the rain comes this evening. Toodle-oo!

You are definately feeling better, you are back to cleaning like a crazy woman!!! I just adore cats, and that Cynthia is so cute!!! Of course she is gonna keep coming over to visit you, you guys spoil her rotten! :) I am not shy about complaining when the food is bad anywhere I go. My hubby is so used to it by now, he just takes the kids and waits in the van. :)
Hugs and love, Lisa

Hey I love cracker barrel and havent been there in years. I need to go. I love that place. I hope you get all your chores done girl. I m so behind.
We just got a cat and named her Princess Sophia-Grace. It is hard to say her name all at one time! I wanted a dog so I'd have a better reason than just my thighs to walk around the neighborhood but, alas, I shall have to teach the cat to walk. Do you think this might be possible? LOL! I love Cracker Barrel but I always get the chicken tenderloin and hubby gets the meatloaf. I haven't had a bad meal yet but then we always get the same thing. Well, hugs, hope you are doing great!

Cynthia is so cute, I love cats. I dont blame you for complaining about the chop, why do men feel silly complaining, its more silly to pay for something substandard!.....Jules xxxxxx
