Rainy days and Tuesdays....

Here are the random pics I couldn't get to work yesterday. Weren't they worth waiting for? Uh-huh....(man, she needs a life, huh?)

Today I did something I know I am going to regret. It needed to be done, and I did it....and I know that from now on I am going to pay the price for my actions. But what was I to do? The job needed doing....yes, I vacuumed and backwashed the pool by myself. I did it all alone, and very well. I actually scrubbed the sides, swept the deck and poured in the chemicals as well. I blew it. Now that dh knows I am capable....I have inherited the job. Crud. It wasn't bad because the sun was under the clouds, and I got in the pool to do it, which made it a lot easier. But still....he knows I can do it. *Sigh.

Let's see, what else did I do today....well, I shampooed the livingroom and dining room carpets. Seems that I gave the dog his pills too late, and he ended up having a seizure next to the desk this morning. So.....I cleaned him up, gave him a bath, and cleaned carpets. They turned out very nice....and they smell so fresh! I also made a very nice dinner....roast with red potatoes, peas, and yams. Everyone enjoyed it. I'm waiting for the dining room carpet to dry, so that I can move the table and chairs back. I also started my wash, but that isn't going to get done until tomorrow.

I keep forgetting Father's day is Sunday. I have to get a gift for my dh and my dad. I have NO idea what to get my dad. But I know what I'm getting dh....as I've said before, he is infatuated with the movie "Friday" (we bought it a few weeks ago), so I am going to get him the movie "Next Friday". He will love it! And the girls will get him a steeringwheel cover for his new truck. Hmmmm, should I go with Spongebob or flames? My car has The Simpsons, so I don't want to repeat that....

Well, wee one has been standing here chanting "are you done" for the past five minutes, so I had better go....good evening all!

Where do you think you are going to find all this time? You do an "OK" job on the house but now you push for pool duty too? Ah well, guess it gives you something to do in your slack time hahahaha  Hugs Lanny

Ohhhh, I LOVE your photos!  How much fun are you???
I made a fabulous summer meal yesterday... seen it on Food network on Meals in 30 Minutes.  I took my chicken breasts and pressed shredded parmesan and italian herbs into it and fried them in some light olive oil.  I had to ad more cheese in the skillet on each side because it's hard to stick but eventually it all crusted up and mmmmmm... tasted so good.  I know it's not so great for you, but who doesn't like fried cheese on anything?
Have a wonderful evening!

I thought summer was all about relaxing!!!  Not in your house it isn't that's for sure!!  You did more in one day then I think I do the entire summer!  Except that I don't have any carpets, thank goodness, with all my animals!  I am simply amazed at the extent you go to with your dinners though!  I sit here and shake my head in total wonder at the marvels you create each night. I think you should start a sep journal of only your breakfast, lunch and dinners you create daily so I can sit and drool with envy!!!
Hugs and love, Lisa

Fun photos!
Just tell your hubby that you suffer from amnesia and have forgotten how to clean the pool? I mean after all men have selective hearing and memories, lol
It just hit me after reading your entry that Sunday is Father's Day! For some reason I was thinking the next weekend, lol thanks for the reminder!

OK, you said you did the pool and I was like "wow, that's a lot of work".  Then you actually went inside and shampooed 2 rooms!  I am so much lazier than you.  I would have stopped at the pool and went on and on at how much work it was. LOL  Plus you gave the dog a bath!  Sheesh woman, I'm with Angela, you deserve some "Sherry" time for sure.  I love hot dogs, so I'd have been happy with that dinner. ~Melissa

I love the pics!  Now you've learned an important lesson--never let hubby know you can do something that he's willing to let someone else do!  LOL!  Love, Kim

Sorry to hear about your dog, that must be frightening when he has seizures :( You sound like you have had a real busy day, slow down girl!! The pool sounds hard work but you are lucky to have one, I would soooooo love a pool but we don't get good enough weather to have one in the UK
It's fathers day here on Sunday as well, so hope you have a good one :)

Geez...how many hours are in YOUR day? Last time I checked, I only had 24 and I don't think I've ever gotten that much done in just ONE DAY! Take tomorrow off!
