I'm sitting here listening to my husband going through what I deal with every day by myself, "Stop it London. No bite! I'm going to tell your mom on you!" He just called me to come in there and stop the dog from nipping at him. Well, I'm not going....he can deal with it on his OWN. I'm still recouperating from the nasty bite mark on my ankle. She would NOT leave me alone today! All she wanted to do was play, and when I told her no....she would run behind me and grab my calves, sliding down to the ankle and biting like a mad dog. LOL. Then she would ram her head into the back of my knee, causing it to give out and I'd stumble across the room. I tell ya, if I break another elbow because of a dog....Now she is in here with me, looking up with those innocent little eyes saying, "I'm a good girl mommy! Pet me! Love me!" LOL....

This week has gone by achingly slow, hasn't it? I feel like it should be Friday. Today was an "early release day" and they are off on Friday....another "unused hurricane day".  No wonder foreign countries are so far ahead of our kids academically. This is ridiculous! Soon it will be spring break and then out for the summer. Of course, it feels like summer now. I told John yesterday, as we turned the a/c on in the house, that it sure doesn't feel like January. Right now it looks like fall outside. The leaves are falling from the trees and everyone needs to rake. Weird.

JB and I went to the grocery store alone this evening. Wee one is at church with her friend, and Betsy was working, so we decided to go to the cell phone store (he broke his holder AGAIN), and then to Winn Dixie. I went in and got everything I needed....except for the eggs. I am completely out of eggs and that was the one thing I wanted to be sure to get. And I will tell you why I forgot. JB has been whining and complaining that he was out of coffee creamer. Whine, whine, whine. "It just makes the coffee taste better." he says. "You can't go back to plain milk after using it!" So, as I'm walking down the paper towel aisle, I remember the creamer and begin my mantra, "Remember the creamer, remember the creamer, remember the creamer....", which is right next to the eggs. I pick up the small container and he is looking at the big container....so then I pick up the big container and I'm looking for the expiration date. I get sidetracked and whizz right past the eggs. So, now Mr. "I can't drink coffee without my creamer" will get a smooth, creamy cup of coffee with his breakfast of toast, bacon and NO EGGS....kinda serves him right, doesn't it?

Gordo used to nip pretty bad too...but you know what stopped it?  When he would bite at me, I'd yelp (like his momma or a littermate would do) and ignore him.  The loud yelp freaked him out, and the ignoring him made him realize if wanted to play, he better not bite or he was gonna end up ignored.  True, it was hard to ignore him when he would be looking at me like "Youuu loooveee meeee mommyyyy'.....lol...but it worked...

I just got fresh creamer and milk today too.  Fresh milk?  Me?  Shocking, right?  LOL

HI, I came across your journal through another journal if you know what I mean.  And I have to agree about the creamer, once you start using it, you just can't go back to milk :)    Good Luck with your puppy, she sounds like a lot of fun.

You get up and make him eggs in the morning? Wow!

But I forget stuff like that all the time. It sucks!

As for the biting dog...I think I said "NOOOO BITEEEEEEEE" 100 times a day to ellie. Ya know when she finally stopped biting me? When I got a puppy that started to bite her. Revenge is sweet.

Uh-oh, I would have NEVER forgotten the creamer!  That is gold to me!!!  Love that stuff!  So, how is it to shop without children and with your hubby?  One day I will be doing that and will probably miss the kids.  LOL!  Sorry about London and the nipping, it's how puppies are though.  Heck, Buffy is STILL like that and she is 4 years old!
Hugs and love,
Lisa

At our house in Tennessee, it is way too warm.  The tulip poplars are blooming and my daylillies are poking out of the ground.  Very weird for January.

Hi, I'm from Essex in England and loved your photos of The Prince of Wales where you ate. If the food tasted as good as it looked I'm sure you had an excellent meal. I work in a cafe here but we have none of your condiments otherwise I would take pics and post them on my journal !! Found your journal thru another and I will be stopping by often.

Hi, thank you so much for your lovely comment. Our daughters are indeed close in age. Kelsey will be 17 in July, and Kaylee 12 in March. And funny you should say Florida for our hols as it's our top choice so far !! Love Debbie xx

Oh you are a good mom and wife to make your husband breakfast!!  I should consider going to bed earlier to get us all back on a healthy breakfast routine.  Now that the school serves it for free though I haven't been making it.  We are so out of the habit.  Speaking of London, our kitty has been playful too and bites my ankles and wraps her paws around them and makes me trip all the time.  It is so frustrating.  Then I had to cut her nails because she took to jumping on me and sinking her claws into me when she wants held.  And she is not going in her catbox all that well.  Just sometimes.  It drives us all nuts.  I hope she outgrows these stages soon.
Hugs,
Lisa

That happens to me all of the time, it never fails that I forget to get something while shopping.  Now with my online shopping the same thing happens...I make sure I think very hard before hitting the submit my order button...moments after that I remember something and have to call John at work to pick it up for me..I don't think this will ever change either, I've been this way for years :)~

Puppies can be painful, can't they?  I have a nice, long scratch on my arm from letting one of terriors out of her kennel a few days ago.  She was excited and jumped up on me and her nail scratched me badly.  They are way overdue for getting a pedicure!!
Hey, I know that mantra.  I recite it or variations of it when I'm in the store, too!
