Today was London's last "puppy shot" visit to the vet. She did really well....she weighs 25 lbs. now....up 5 lbs. from her last visit. (Of course, mommy probably is too, but I'll talk about that later....). She is such a good girl at the vet's office, and everyone loves her. Today she sat on my lap with her front paws around my neck. It reminded me of when I took the girls to the doctor when they were toddlers! Both the doctor and the vet said to her, "You do realize that pretty soon you will be too big to sit on mommy's lap, don't you?" LOL. While I was paying the vet brought out her blind kitten and she and London ran up and down the halls, chasing each other and playing. It was so sweet! I reall think London needs a playmate. I've been perusing the Golden Retriever rescue organization in our town....
I bought some One a Day Weight Smart vitamins. I figured since I wanted to start taking a multi vitamin, I might as well take one that could possible jump start my metabolism. JB and I have been walking 2 miles each night, so maybe with this little boost I'll feel and look better. Anyone ever tried them? Success? Fail? Good? Bad? Reviews are welcome....
I am so mad at our lawn service. Last year we signed up for one year's service. I got a print out of all the applications, and how much they would be. We finished with them and I received a notice that said we had until March if we wanted a special price. Soooo, yesterday the guy comes and sprays the lawn. I didn't know why, and when I saw the statement in my door, it said we owed money....huh? I called and this is what they tell me....we are on a revolving account and that they continue service until we tell them to stop. Ummmm, WTF? I told her we were NEVER told that, we NEVER agreed to that, and why weren't we called and asked if we wanted to continue? I asked her where in the contract does it state this, and she said that it is a "verbal" contract. I told her we were not "verbally" told this. I called the national number and they said the same thing. I asked where it was exactly in the contract and he said he couldn't tell me, but he would transfer me to my local dealer. I told him nevermind, I had already experienced their run-around and I wasn't interested. So....do I owe or not? I have NOTHING in writing that says we had to call and cancel. I have a printed out schedule that says exactly what they were going to do and that these specific things were paid for. I am beyond pissed. So I said that I wanted to cancel my service and she asks me "Why?" in an annoying voice. I wish I could have said what I wanted to....but I'm trying to be more Christian....
I can't believe it's Friday again. It seems as though time is just flying. I have shorts on today. SHORTS! In January. So weird. But I was hot. It is nice outside....like that first day of spring when everything smells fresh and clean....
Okay, I'm off to mop the kitchen floor before the crew starts coming in. Later....

Oh I woulda been pissed too! I hate when companies do that. The companies I work for all I can do is place their orders and have no other info for them and I feel bad because I feel like its my fault. So Im constantly having to transfer already annoyed people over. I think that because it was "verbal" it holds no bars anyway. Especially if you were never told that. I wouldnt pay it.
OH! if it was done over the phone ask them for the tape where you agreed to it. Most companies have to record your agreements.
I wouldnt pay that company. not at all keep your printed out thing nad if they come after you use that against the.
OH boy london is getting so so so too big. so sad. But you know that is how we got started PEpper neededa puppy. but really they do it keeps them from distruction of other things nad they get out thier energy. I hopfe you find a mate for london that fits just right likePepper nad Sasha.
I take vitamines nad TODD "KEEPS FORGETTING" HA he has been sick and with all the stress the last month I have kept wlel hate to say it cuase I do feel and have felt like IM fightin git. But i feel the vitamines are helping me or I would be a dead woman by noe. Love the puppy pics.
I took those vitamins, for a while...I ate WAY less. You wanna know why? I got sick! Almost exactly an hour after I took them, i was so sick to my stomach, I had to lie down! Every time. No matter if I drank milk or ate a little something with them, I got sick. Kinda like morning sickness! But, because of the freak that I am, the only reason I quit taking them is because I ran out, and can't afford any more! So, let me know how they work for you. As for the "verbal contract" there is no court in the country that would make you pay, based on what they say is a contract. If it's not in writing, you did not authorize it. Threaten them with legal action if they come after you for money. Good luck! JAE
It'll be funny if when london gets bigger and you bring her to the vet and she's all gigantic and what not if she still puts her arms around mommy's neck.
As for the lawn service. I would keep calling and being a bitch till you get it in writing that you owe them nothing because you didn't order it.
Verbal, smerbal! Whatever! Lucky you, they just sprayed your yard for free. Tell them to take a hike! They're full of it! Get 'em, Sherry! :)
Love the puppy pictures. Looks like London enjoyed the cheddar rice cakes.
Our lawn service just sent us a schedule for next year with the lowered prices if we want to pay now for it. Otherwise, they just show up when it's time. No one ever calls to see if we want to continue or stop. Unless we call them to cancel. But our town is pretty small probably compared to yours. Michele
Shorts!!! I'm so jealous!! It's 58 degrees in m parts and that's a heat wave!! And to think I thought it was nice today running around in just a sweatshirt!
Missie :)
I SO wish I was experiencing your weather! Some year. . . **SIGH** As far as the vitamins go, I tried them, but didn't like them. Like a horse pill, and I noticed no difference in metabolism myself. I do take now the VIACTIV and I have conitually taken them since I started about a year ago. Most conituous for me ever. And I do like them. But it 's not a pill, but a 'chew.' Anyway, glad you had fun at the vet! CYa, Kris
the pics of London are really cute, he is doing really well. I would tell the garden people where to go for their money. Verbal arrangements are not good enough and they should have asked if you wanted to carry on with a renewal of the contract. Lucky you having nice weather :).....Jules xxxx

AWWW London is sooo adorable! I took weightsmart for about 6 months it did seem to help out cause when i was off and eating the same food I went to gaining. With the vitamin though you gotta make sure you eat before you take it and wait 20 mins or you'll be lying down for the rest of the day feeling sick .
Tracy
London is so cute!
We had a beautiful day here yesterday but I was inside all day with school so I missed it :(
I try remembering to take my vitamins but usually forget, lol. Just remember with any vitamins don't take them on an empty stomach. I haven't tried the weightsmart.
Geez I hope you get that lawn service straightened out, that is just crazy!
Gretchen
Your baby is growing up...:)

London is just adorable. Verbal contract? Do you owe it? NO WAY! I'd make them try to prove that one - give me a break. Tried the vitamins and didn't see any weight loss from it, but did get a tummy ache!
I can't take vitamins with iron in them, they make my tummy all gross and I want to puke, not a good thing, but then again, I'd lose weight right?! LOL! As far as that "verbal contract" goes, verbal contracts mean exactly that, they were exchanged verbally, there is no law that will bind you to them, if they told you or not. So, hell no, don't pay that bill. If they send you to collections, let THEM try to prove their "verbal contract", they won't be able to, period. Good for London on her vet checkup!! What a big girl she is! And, her head in that bag of rice cakes is so funny! Goes to show you that dogs don't really care what they eat, they will even eat rice cakes! LOL! It's going to be 60 degrees here and we are in New England!!! I want my Winter back!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Hugs and love,
Lisa
I've heard of them, but never taken them. Let me know how they work. I could use some more energy!
Lori
Your London and mine are just too cute. Hugs,
Lisa
