Ouch, my hair!

As I sit here, wee one is "doing" my hair. Actually, it feels as though she is ripping it out by the roots....she has been brushing it, and has just returned with the "basket of torture"....which in reality is the basket of rubber bands and barettes I have for her. She just told me she was going to give me the "Pippy Longstocking" look. No, I will NOT post pics.

I was supposed to take Betsy to the dentist today for a cleaning, however the hygenist's child was sick and therefore didn't come in. I'm glad they called to let me know before Betsy took her antibiotics! (She has to be pre-medicated due to her heart murmur). Now I have them all ready to go for next week. Of course that meant I got up early for nothing! I thought about going back to bed but I didn't....I started cleaning, then took Betsy to work, picked up mom and went father's day shopping for John. I only got him ONE thing. It's this sticky doohicky that you put on your dashboard and your phone, money, sunglasses, etc. will stick to it like magic! It's not magnetic and it isn't sticky to the touch....but dang it, it works! I saw it the other day at Linens N Things and decided that wee one could get it for him. I bought one for myself too....lol. I'm at a loss for what to get him! Betsy is getting him a mint chocolate chip cake from the ice cream store with her 20% discount. That should make it only $18. I tell ya, that place is expensive! They have a payment plan for their large cones! (*enter rim shot here).

I now have pigtails....

I think I am getting a cold. My throat is scratchy and my eyes are grainy. I sneezed a few times today too. I am probably getting sick from the freezing cold weather that is in my house....dh likes to keep it around, oh, 50 in here. Outside is a whole other story. It feels like you are walking into an oven out there. This is our winter....there are no kids out during the day. After the sun goes down, they all come out. It's kind of creepy....lol.

I'm going to go now as my head is aching from wee one's attemts at making me beautiful. She keeps saying, "Keep your head straight!" and "Sorry, Sorry!" She's yelling at me now for moving. I guess she is getting me back for years of follicular torture! Have a great night!

Tracy is in the top Rachaels and mine are bottom ones which can be worse they say. I dont remember heck why worry. I have drank two cups of tea today. I feel weaky yuck. Now our house we kep at 67 winter and 77summer. taht way when we wlak out we do not feel like its an oven. thats what happens at walmart and I almost pass out. I need a winter coat in that place and dont shop long (gues they dont wnat my money) and then walk out and nearly pass out. So I try to keep it even or close. I know you live in Florida, though i dont know where but i wanted to tell you my family and i went to Orlando and DisneyWorld last week for the 1st time and one of the things that struck me was that you never saw anyone outside in Orlando. Sure i saw them at the parks and at the grocery but there were no people out and about. The heat made me sick. The rain drove me insane. So different than crappy Ohio weather. It was so beautiful there though. Amazing. The whole week was like a dream kind of. I wish you would post your new hair do pics! I bet you look cute! Take care, lisa

That is so adorable that wee one wants to do your hair and make you beautiful.  How sweet.  I hope you feel better!!  I hate colds!!  I just got over one a few weeks ago.  I dont go out during the hottest part of the day either unless i absolutely have to.  I get so sick from the hot sun.

I love having my hair fiddled with....but not by children...as you say they have too many years of being scraped into 'school' hairstyles to avenge themselves for!
I've started having a monthly massage & part of that is head massage & it's blissful...I turn to jelly all over.

I'm just to tender headed for my kids to mess with my hair. Angels comes at me with a brush and i throw my arms over my head. I can't stand it. I do let her put make up on me though so i hope that make's up for it. I have to give my oldest son antibiotics to before he goes to the dentist because hes had heart surgrey @ age 5 to repair his coartation of the aorta and he also has an abnormal heart valve. Which may have to be replaced one day, but thank god it's working correctly right now. He will have to go to the heart doctor for the rest of his life.
Fathers day shopping done. I got him what he got me. NOTHING, but i did get something for him from the kids. I may take him out to eat. He did take me to eat on mommy day..
Take care  :-)

When my daughter does my hair, I look like Pippi Longstocking too!!  Why do they insist on putting pigtails on us Moms??!?!  LOL!  And, they do hurt us on purpose I believe.  It is from all the years of torturing them.  :)  That doohickey thing for the car sounds like a great idea!
Hugs and love, Lisa

Would love to have someone do my hair!  Ok, well, maybe not pigtails... sounds fun though other than the hurting part.  Nicholas has a heart murmur too and has to have antibiotics before the dentist also.
Hugs,
Lisa

I love it when my six-year old daughter "does" my hair. Ouch! She's just paying me back for all the times I did her hair.
