This graphic pretty much sums up how hot it is around here lately. I mean, I know it's summer, and I'm in Florida, but man oh man is it warm. And the humidity has hit with a vengance. Today my mom came over to swim with wee one....isn't that sweet? I had some errands to do and Betsy had to work, so it was Grammy-wee one day. Tonight she is spending the night at Gram's as well since Betsy has a dentist appointment in the morning. Pretty sweet deal for me! LOL....
Tomorrow is beach day! Well, technically it's beach evening since we will go when dh gets home from work. I had him take Wednesday off so that we can spend some time enjoying the salty sea air. I just love sitting there in my beach chair, listening to the waves crash on the shore. It's so relaxing. Wee one usually makes sand castles while Betsy reads and listens to her music. Mom will be with us tomorrow which will be nice for her. She has only been to the beach once since we moved here, so she is excited. On Wednesday we are going to St. Augustine. A mid-week mini vacation. It should be relatively tourist free which will be nice.
I have to keep myself awake for another two hours until it's time to pick Betsy up from work. She has the late shift this evening. It still amazes me that she is old enough to work. She called me on her break and said she was having a great time at work. She is working with all the kids she really likes tonight. I'm so glad that she is enjoying her job....and I'm so glad she is working in the next county. She has made new friends from another high school, which has been good for her.
Oh yeah....dh called the other insurance company for our auto policy and with Betsy included they quoted....ready????....$1800 a year! We paid $1700 last year without her! It pays to shop around I tell ya. I'm thrilled....and she will be too because she won't have to pay as much!
My lips are dry. "Could you bring me my chapstick?" LOL....I love that movie. Anyone care to guess what that quote is from? I'm asking for that dvd for my birthday....which is coming up July 3, for anyone who cares to buy me anything....lol. Hmmmm, which reminds me....only 3 more days until someone elses birthday!

Yeah i cant believe i Have no kids in school mine are all graduated. UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! yeah I hated staying awake and trying to get mine in the beginning. wow that is pretty steep insurance. I would love to go to the beach!!!!!!!!!!! Man would I love to. Thte girls and Todd have never been to the beach and want to go so badly. but its like hours drives for us. so we have to hold off on taht. maybe for years who knows your lucky yes we had 90's last two days and 90% humidity. UGH thats hot after 50's last week and no humidity. you know it gaveus no inbetween to get use to it. GIRL You need to move up to KY insurance is cheaper here girl!!!!!!!!! LOL
Summer has hit here too, after days and days of rain and cool weather. Right at 90 today, I love it! Any body of water is good on days like this, but the only beach we have is at the lake, not as good as what you have. Lila
I have to say that the new pic of you in the "About Me" section has got to be the BEST one of you yet!!!! You look GORGEOUS woman!!!! Ugggh, going to the ocean sitting in a lounge chair? Not for this lily white freckled face girl. That is torture for me. I never understood the appeal of the ocean personally, could that be why I live her in New England do you think?! LOL! I hope you have a great day and I cannot wait to see more pics from beautiful St. Augustine! :)

How could anyone NOT enjoy a relaxing sit at the beach? I love to close my eyes and just hear the water lapping the shore, soooo nice, I'm jealous of you! LOL Plus, there is always a nice breeze on the beach, so the heat doesn't seem as killer.
Sherry, I think we're going to melt and suffocate in the heat this year, it's horrible!

I'm so glad you put that picture there. I was going to tell you. I have no idea what movie that was from. Give me a hint please? It's fantastic Betsy is meeting new friends. I used to love making friends from other towns rather than my own school. Then you get to meet new groups of boys. LOL It's no wonder I'm in the position I am in..look how my mind always works.."boys" LOL geeeee freakin wiz.
Enjoy your time at the beach. Afternoon at the beach is my favorite time to be there. But I bet in florida it doesn't cool down 30 degrees like it does here at our beaches. I really can't stand the heat. Oh for the love of God would you believe in mid comment I got up to get a hersheys kiss? mooooooo!

that would be the correct thing to say about our weather it has been soo hot up here to..have you got all the rain that we have it has rained for the last 9 days along with the hot weather.....well have fun up in ST. A that is about 2 hrs from here...
