Good Monday morning! I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. We ended up spending most of it getting over colds and flu. However, I felt better Sunday afternoon so dh and I took a short motorcycle ride and stopped at the grocery store to pick up some steaks to grill. It was lovely! I was thinking of Michelle and her hubby, wondering if they were riding on such a gorgeous afternoon.
It's supposed to rain here tomorrow, and Thursday and Friday. We sure need it. My backyard is nothing but sand at this point! Of course, that made it fun for dd to play in yesterday. I had just given her a bath when she decided to come outside and start digging around. She was cracking acorns open with her shoe and throw them into the forest. Well, I suppose the squirrels will be happy; she's done most of their job for them! Now, instead of happy, bouncy squirrels running from tree to tree, I'll see lethargic, fat squirrels, sitting around, waiting to be fed.
I did finish my big pile of ironing, cleaned off my desk, did my bills....so all I have left is to sew. WooHoo! I hate it when the work piles up and I get behind. Makes me crazy!
I can't believe the school year is coming to an end so quickly! The girls have six weeks left. That first week of vacation is such an adjustment period. Trying to get used to the new schedule, having the kids underfoot all day. Serving breakfast till noon! LOL....actually, this will be the year that Betsy gets a job. She is going to get her learners permit, and she needs to help pay for insurance. I haven't priced it yet, but I'm sure it'll be a shock. She wants to apply before school ends, for a better chance at employment. At least she is thinking about it!
Well, I hear my vacuume calling...."Plug me in....push me....you know you want to use me...."
Have a wonderful Monday everyone!
Oh! I forgot that I promised my wee one to put a link to her journal in my entry today. She added an entry, and was sad becuase her aunt and gram hadn't commented yet. So, HERE it is! Love you Hayley girl!

OH! I just listened to yesterdays audio entry and you said purdyful! I haven't heard that word since highschool, when my best friend always said it. Now I'm going to read this entry! ~Melissa
It was beautiful weekend wasn't it? Well, the part you were awake for anyway. LOL If you're daughter takes a drivers ed class, she'll get a safe driver slip that's a 10% discount on insurance. It helps a little anyway. ~Melissa
You are SO good about keeping caught up with everything! I get crazy when I get behind too but I seem to be doing it more and more lately! ...Hopefully my daughter will be getting a job this summer too (she better since Mama may not have one! LOL)! ...Have a happy Monday :-)
Ok, You are getting me tired from all this work you are doing. Slow down or the world will never get caught up with you. Sheesh. do we have to sedate you with sugar? hehehe Hugs Lanny
Well I'm glad to see you are feeling better. I've already been over to Frog girl left her a comment.
My insurance guy told me that to add a 16/17 year old daughter to your insurance is a 2,500 yearly increase. She better get a job as a doctor or something. LOL I am glad you are feeling better. That was funny about the fat lazy squirrels, I have two that sit waiting to rip open my garbage but the rest of the squirrels in my neighborhood are pretty fit and still play and stuff. Except for that poor squirrel who's tail is the only thing left of him under my front tree that I am guessing my big fat cat killed and thats why she is so fat. Horrible!
Sherry, did you change your colors again? To shocking pink? It's...shocking pink!!! Hope you got all your work done. We have 2 young drivers we are insuring. Here if you get a certificate that says you attended drivers ed and you take a driving course, they give you a certain percentage off. Also, if they are A/B students, they take a percentage off--it's still steep, however. Have a good week.
Glad your feeling better! I just realized today that the kids will be out for summer break next month, the time just flew by. Take care!
Psh..yea JUST getting my permit..when I could have had it at the end of last July or early August...*sigh* I don't mind tho...it's not like I'm never not going to drive. Love ya
~Betsy~
