Monday morning....

Wee one has a dental appointment today. I forgot all about it. I do this every time she sees the dentist. They ask if I want to schedule her next appointment, six months in advance, I do it, and then get surprised one morning when they call to confirm. At least I had the sense to make it during her lunch period at school. I do enjoy these mid-day appointments because I remember as a child, how fun it was to get out of class and go somewhere during the day with my mom. It was like doing something taboo....being in public when everyone else was in school. Of course I'll take her to McDonalds for a burger afterward....

I was looking forward to a cozy, rainy Monday....spent leisurely cleaning the house. However, in true Florida fashion the sun bullied the rain into skirting the state until tonight, and I have my usual sunny day. *Sigh. Although I am used to the sun 95% of the time, I still miss the dreary weather of northern Indiana. Those were my favorite kind of days....rainy, chilly, cozy.

The girls had a good weekend. Parties, painting, pestering each other. I have this vision of them in their 30's, still aggrivating one another. Sometimes it doesn't bother me, and other times I want to scream! I suppose it is natural for a teen not to want to be bothered by her little sister. I would just like for one day, the tables to be turned, and they could both see what it's like from the other's point of view. However, I don't see that happening....we will just have to wait for Disney to come up with a movie about that.

Well, wee one is finished with her bagel and cream cheese....I tell you, I should print up a menu for breakfast. Every morning she asks what do we have, and every morning I repeat the same thing. Then, it takes 5 minutes for the decision, changingher mind several times, only to go back to the original choice. Sheesh!

Happy Monday everyone!!!!

Good morning Sherry. I know those surprise phone calls to remind you of appointments all too well. They sure do break up the day. But let talk over this McDonalds thing. They're food sucks and you and I both know she'd rather have OJ with chocolate chip cookies. hehehe Hugs Lanny

Just when you think you have your day in order, a forgotten appt. throws a nice wrench in.  It will be fun and I found that the kids like those trips (despite the dentist) as they view it as a special time with Mom.  I too, here in Orlando was hoping for rain last night.  I am a sunshine person, but enjoy a break with a good thunderstorm or all day shower.  Glad to hear I'm not totally alone in my strangeness and thinking on that one!  Enjoy the day and if you do a rain dance up in J'ville, I will do one here.  Hopefully we'll both get what we want!

I know just what you mean about those appointments, but i keep my answering machine sound off and when they call the morning of or day before to confirm i don't hear it and miss it all together so my kids never get to the docs unless they are sick.

My youngest does the same thing with the "what do we have?"  Like I'm going to suddenly say pancakes, bacon and eggs...NOT!  It's a rainy day here finally.  We're in a drought.  I actually slept until 7:30 AM because the sun didn't wake me up as usual...Have a great day and afternoon!

I also hate those morning "reminder" calls as well.  Usually because we all sleep until about 9:30 or 10 in the morning.  LOL  It's just gonna kill me when my little one starts going to school.  But if it weren't for those little reminders, I would miss every single appointment I ever make.  Have a great day!

How about a trade?  I'll let you know when it's "dreary" here in Indiana, and then we can trade places!  I do have to admit, I love the changing of the seasons... you gotta miss that!

I hope all goes well and she gets a perfect report on her teeth! And I wish the sun were shining here, it's cold and rainy again!
