Monday evening....

They say that one bad apple can spoil the whole bunch....well, for me it was a blueberry; several, in fact. All of them tucked under a blanket of brown sugar, flour, oatmeal and butter....baked at 375 for 30 minutes. And then, to add insult to injury, lets put that on top of some vanilla ice cream....

What can I say? I fell off the wagon....hard. But it wasn't my fault! I was doing laundry this afternoon, and had the Food network on. Two episodes of "Barefoot Contessa" had me standing on the edge of cheating.....but it was "From Martha's Kitchen" that pushed me over. Oh the things they were making....roasted fruit, parmesan chicken on a stick, and of course the Easter egg cake with homemade lemon curd....how could I resist? I HAD to make something. So, after looking around I found some blueberries, brown sugar....and my crisp was born. *Sigh. What can I say? I'm weak.

Tomorrow is another day....right? By the way, don't worry that I'll be tempted to eat it for breakfast, no sir! I made sure there would be none left for that....::evil grin::

Mike took us all out for ice cream tonight so I could drown my sorrows in a brownie bite arctic swirl... God must have had a good reason for sugar, right? ~Erin :)

Oopps.  One slip up won't ruin things for you.  Perhaps if you get hungry in the future you could blow up a picture of this weird looking graphic and it will make you sick enough that you won't want to eat another bite...lol  sully

Shame on you!  LOL!  Okay, here's my confession:  I ate a TINY piece of cake with ONE scoop of ice cream last night--I couldn't sleep at all for the GUILT!  Was it worth it?  NO!  But Blueberry Yummy is another story... Love, Kim :o)

The way I look at it is, if you actually make it from scratch in your own kitchen, it doesn't count for being "bad" for you!  No preservatives right?  So, there, just think of it that way!  So what if it had a million calories and fat grams, you made it with your very own hands!  Glad you enjoyed it!  Hope you had a piece for me too!
Hugs and love, Lisa

LOL, I'd do the same thing as you.  Only, I'd switch the blueberries to apple crisp.  Mmmm, now I'm really wanting some.  Well, it's pry good you let yourself have a treat.  We don't want to feel deprived! ~Melissa
