(Well, I am in Florida and it's hot....so I figured this graphic would be appropriate!)
As you know, I've been walking lately. And it's been going really well. I've lost 6 lbs. so far, and my jeans fit so much better! (Great....just in time for 90 degree weather....lol). I have actually been looking forward to my walking, as it is a time for me to listen to my music and zone out for a while. I walk in the morning before I eat and lately I've been getting hungry around mile 1, and start thinking sinful things. Like, "I wonder if there are any toaster strudel left," or "If I put blueberries in my pancakes, does that count as a serving of fruit?"
However, yesterday as I was walking and thinking about food, I happened to look down. Now, this is where I find it hard to fathom that anyone would not believe there is a God. Spread before me, along the side of the road for a good 40 feet were packets of Splenda. Not packets of sugar (my weakness) but a trail of Splenda on the ground for me to follow....I was thinking, "Okay God, I get it....you are taking my mind off the fattening and back on the healthy. Thanks for the incentive!" So now, every day on my walk, I follow the trail of Splenda packets and am reminded that my hard work and will power will help me to be healthier and happier.
Definately happier because the trail of Splenda stops (and I'm not making this up!) right at a new subdivision that is under construction. And where there is construction there are....oh yes....construction workers! So, at the end of my trail of sucrose are....many, many tanned, buff, sweaty (in a good way) working men. I do believe the only appropriate response to this would be....Sweet!

WTG!!! I love doing my walking around here because I get to see all the hot, sweaty bodied soldiers doing their physical training. Hows that for some inspiration on a walk!! hehehe. Keep following those splenda packets girl, the pounds are sure to fall to the ground as well.
lmao....that is too funny....I need to walk where you do!

Scary how much we think alike! I'd be thinking the same thing. Well, it's just logical to me that those splenda packets are there to inspire and encourage you on this mission.
The kids and I started walking about a week ago in the evenings after dinner usually... we had about 4 walks last week. I was so proud. Now I missed our walk two nights in a row and really miss it. Have to get back on it tomorrow for sure with an extra long walk. You and the splendas have definitely encouraged me and I'll be looking for those splenda packets to appear over here too. Lol.
Congrats on the 6 lbs. Hugs,
Lisa
PS Sounds like a pot of gold at the end of the walk too...

I wonder if those construction workers left a trail just for you?!?! Maybe they saw you walking and drooling one morning and said "I believe that woman needs some positive incentive". LOL! Splenda huh? That stuff is VILE! Uggghhh!
Hugs and love,
Lisa
P.S.: Great job on the walking!!!! It's still too cold here to even think of doing that!
you're cracking me up!! LOL You told that story GREAT! :-) - Way to go on the walking and the weightloss.
Hugs,
Holly
Damn!!!! I am in the wrong state...lol I am stuck on Long Island where is it still so damn cold and the only workers here are the Verizon guys and they are bundled up from head to toe. NOTHING to look at.
PS. Keep up the great work and the splenda packs were a sign to stay on track and stop thinking about the damn toaster struddel that will go no where but on your hips!!!

That's it! I'm moving to Florida!

Yes that very funny, good luck on your walking. I ride my bike to school and back home about 2 miles each way unless I take a detour than its alittle longer. But Im not as lucky as you too found the hot good-lookin consturction workers at the end of my trail just my empty house because no one is home. I agree its a good trail to follow lol This is my new screen name, plus I still have Pepsidrinker76.

Keep up the exercise and don't get yourself worked up too much in the heat
its still cloudy, and cold here in Michigan...where is our spring?Take care, stay in touch love ya Sara
Great job on your walking. I need to do more walking, too! What a story! You should contact the company that does Splenda's commercials and ads -- can you see it? You (or an actress portraying you) pushing herself to the limit and following a trail of Splenda packets to a group of good-looking, sweaty construction workers! Yes, I'd say you have a winner there. See if you can sell the idea! (and at the bottom of the screen it will say, "based on true story).
