I can't believe this actually came up....let alone allowing me to post!
Just a quick one here to let you know I'm still here....however, my dsl modem was fatally injured in a Florida power surge. Services were held Sunday, with a burial in the outside garbage can.
I was promised by Bell South that I'd have a brand spankin new modem tomorrow. They better send me one....this 32 ram laptop just ain't cutting it!
I have not been able to read or comment to anyone....so I hope I will be granted forgiveness for deleting my 90+ alerts!
See you tomorrow....from the wonderful land of DSL!!!!

I know a lot of people who seem to be having DSL modem problems lately. Good Luck.

Please allow me to offer my sympathy. I'm sorry I missed the service, but I put a card in the mail.

Im actually going outside my comfort zone. I wont detail it all here so you dont have to re read it again . Also you might have missed the OLD pic of my dad with the race car. WELL mainly I thought JB would want to see that car he and a few of his buddies fixed up for my uncle. I RODE it in it too thought iw as something in the powder puff derby
Glad all is okay.
Good luck with the new DSL!

Well, that's one good thing about still being on dial up! I know, I should be ashamed of myself shouldn't I? Hope you're back tomorrow as planned! :-)
RIP dear modem! Hope you are up and running at full speed tomorrow! I miss you girl!
Hugs and love,
Lisa
I hope your new modem arrives safely tomorrow.

I rarely comment... (I know, I know) but your journal is the first one I check everyday. I don't know why but you remind me of someone especially the way you are about your house and the kind of mother you are. I just feel like I'm reading about someone in my family when I read your blog.
Okay.. so that was my corny moment for the week. Hope the kids are feeling better.

Aren't we spoiled by technology? Kevin and I used to share a dial up connection. It was slow, but without anything to compare to, it was livable. Now, if a page loads too slowly, I complain. Sheesh. I hope your time of mourning is short, and you find a way to move ahead. LOL
RIP Sherry's modem!
We don't even have DSL here. So I don't know what I'm missing out on. LOL
I think I will be stuck with dial up until I move!
Hope you have a good week!

Poor Sherry and her frazzled modem !!! Still lovely to hear from you ~ looking forward to having you back proper ;-)
Love & Hugs ~x Debbie x~
Oh Sherry, it is always such a delight to stop by your journal. You have a way of making the daily mishaps of life spring to humor and joy in your entries. I'm chuckling about the funeral services held in the garbage can for the modem. So sorry to hear about the power surge. We had one last year and lightening storms too took out nintendo games, tvs and phones around here. Had to have an electrician come out. Hugs,
Lisa
YIKES. I will be glad when you are back at it for real! Cya, Kris
Is it fixed yet?
