Sick, sick, sick....

I think I need some of these guys. I went from sneezing occasionally to coughing occasionally to how I feel right now....which is somewhere between flu and strep. Dang it! Saturday I spent the entire day in my pj's, and half of that was spent in bed. I was tired....you know, cold/tired....and feeling sneezy. Yesterday I got up and got ready for church, went to the mall, out to eat, and thought I was getting better. Until about 3 when I felt the sore throat coming on. Now I'm drinking my tea as hot as I can possibly stand it so that it soothes my raw throat. Wee one is the sweetheart that gave this to me (who knew that my parental promoting of the concept of "sharing" would one day come back and bite me on the....), and thankfully she is feeling much better.

Anyhoo....

I was planning on going shopping today, but now I think I will be staying in. It's rather cold out there. Seems our effects from the blizzard are some rather chilly days. Yesterday felt like a November day in Indiana. You could smell the smoke from every fireplace in a five mile area. My plants are actually covered up because of the freeze warning that was forecasted for last night and tonight. Of course it is supposed to be 79 by Friday, so that will be the extent of our cold weather.

I hate it though, when you have your shopping day all planned out and something happens to ruin it. I was psyched to go get all of the things I'm running out of so that I can have my backups at the ready. I suppose it will have to wait.

Oh man. I just took a break from writing this. I had to take Betsy to the bus stop, then when I got home I saw that London had "repeated" her breakfast on the floor. After cleaning that up, I took her out, came in, made wee one's lunch and breakfast, then decided to climb over the gate to get her clothes for the day. Wasn't it just a few entries ago that I made fun of Betsy for falling flat on her face whilst climbing over the gate? "Good morning Karma....how ya doing?"

Yeah, I tripped over the gate and fell. The gate is still laying there. I refused to pick the s.o.b. up. My leg feels weak, which means it will be hurting later. My wrist took the brunt of the fall, so I need to type this quickly, before the pain sets in. You know, I think I'm going to take wee one to school, come home, and crawl straight into bed.

And so begins another fun filled day in the JBCoupe household....
