Roosters, booze and bras....

Today my mom called and asked if I would like to go shopping with her. She was only going to one store, but would I like to ride along. I thought, sure, why not. I won't buy anything today....I have no need for anything! Fast forward two hours and $90 later (btw, she beat me at $102), I have four bags of things that I "needed". I have really been trying not to spend any extra money lately....but I couldn't help it. The first two pics are of John's Valentine's day gifts. I am no good at keeping secrets, and I'm just too excited when I get something for him that I know he will like. I got him a really neat wooden pic of a semi with the Route 66 sign. He loves big rigs and has always wanted to travel down Route 66, so this was perfect. I also got him a glass and chrome gas pump that holds liquor. The little pump is where it comes out....it's adorable! I filled it with what was left of my bourbon, but have yet to actually have a drink. He loves old gas pumps and wants one....I told him until we could afford a real one, this one would have to do. He loved his gifts....I wonder if he will get me anything for v-day?!

I also picked up three really cute metal roosters. I don't know if you can see in the picture but each is playing an instrument. There was one more that played the guitar, but I didn't buy him. I love having roosters in my kitchen, but they have to be a certain kind of rooster. They have to be whimsical, not the elaborate, ceramic kind. Something about those roosters makes me nervous. Anyway, I spent more money than I wanted to, being that I had thought I would only spend $0. Mom didn't do too bad either. She got some birthday gifts, Easter gifts, and a few things for the house. She also got some gourmet coffee candy. I thought they were malt balls in different shades of tan, but they are chocolate covered coffee beans. After about 5 of them I got a terrible headache. From now on I'll stick with a good ol' cup of joe.

As for the pictures of London....that dog is crazy. I saw her sneak/run from Betsy's room today and I could just see a flash of white as she ran by. I was distracted by something else and didn't think anything of it until I heard her growling. When I checked on her she was swinging Betsy's bra around, chewing it and growling. I took it from her and told her "no", then put the bra in the laundry. Well, somehow she got it out and ran off with it again. I didn't know she had taken it until I went into the bedroom to get something. I thought I was going to fall over laughing because she was sound asleep on the couch wearing the bra! One arm strap was wrapped around her chest with the cup in front, and the other strap was wrapped around her back legs with the cup underneath her belly. I ran for my camera as quietly as I could, but she woke up. I tried to take her pic on the floor where the light was good, but she refused to sit for me....which was why I put her on the bed. I tell ya, she is a riot. Hmmmm, you know, if we get a boy dog I had better make sure JB hides his underwear! (I see a lucrative modeling deal with Hanes in my future....)

That is hysterical about London and the bra - the pictures are priceless.  Winnie like socks and Hobbes (the perv) likes girl underwear and gets really nasty if he has a pair that gets taken away.

Thats the way it usually happens though, I vow not to spend any money and it never works out that way! lol  I still don't have Ben's Valentines present yet and I'm running out of time!
London is too funny! We had a cocker spaniel that if you left the bathroom door open and you weren't around he would take the toilet paper, run with it all over the house, well you can imagine the mess.
Sorry I haven't been over here for awhile, things are hectic. I'm sure if you all decide to get a new puppy London will love it :)
